Shortly after Republicans swept last November to a historic victory in which Sarah Palin was credited with playing a central role, the former Alaska governor pulled aside her close aide, Rebecca Mansour, to discuss a hush-hush assignment: Reach out to conservative filmmaker Stephen K. Bannon with a request. Ask him if he would make a series of videos extolling Palin's governorship and laying to rest lingering questions about her controversial decision to resign from office with a year-and-a-half left in her first term. It was this abdication, Palin knew, that had made her damaged goods in the eyes of some Republicans who once were eager to get behind her potential 2012 presidential campaign.
The response was more positive than Palin could have hoped for. He'd make a feature-length movie, Bannon told Mansour, and he insisted upon taking complete control and financing it himself -- to the tune of $1 million.
The fruits of that initial conversation are now complete. The result is a two-hour-long, sweeping epic, a rough cut of which Bannon screened privately for Sarah and Todd Palin last Wednesday in Arizona, where Alaska's most famous couple has been rumored to have purchased a new home. When it premieres in Iowa next month, the film is poised to serve as a galvanizing prelude to Palin's prospective presidential campaign -- an unconventional reintroduction to the nation that she and her political team have spent months eagerly anticipating, even as Beltway Republicans have largely concluded that she won't run.
Bannon, a former naval officer and ex-Goldman Sachs banker, sees his documentary as the first step in Palin's effort to rebuild her image in the eyes of voters who may have soured on her, yet might reconsider if old caricatures begin to fade.

If the film is made for the purposes of her election, as the article claims, (premiering in Iowa? lol) isn’t a million dollars kicked in by the film maker an in-kind contribution?
I did a search and all 4 showed up. You have to remember to change the search to TITLE, the default is keywords
I like Herman Cain.....but I like other candidates as well, there is no need to attack Palin supporters who for the most part except for a few dozen around here have been respectful to Cain.
That is probably what happened, because I typed the title sand used the default search.
My bad.
awk·ward/ˈôkwərd/Adjective 1. Causing difficulty; hard to do or deal with: "one of the most awkward jobs is painting a ceiling"; "some awkward questions". 2. Deliberately unreasonable or uncooperative: "you're being damned awkward!".
No more than a 6o min interview, or a Saturday night live invite, or an Oprah appearance.
Could be.
After all, without a proper answer to my question we can only go by the dictionary definition.
Any movie about Palin’s governorship is going to a short.
I refuse to trash Herman Cain just because of the antics of his supporters on Palin threads.
Good to hear that news and that she is still in the game!
GO, Sarah, GO!!
>> there is no need to attack Palin supporters who for the most part except for a few dozen around here have been respectful to Cain.<<
You might not see the bigger picture.
1. Go to any Mrs. Palin oriented thread.
2. Say she is not the second coming of Ronald Reagan/Thomas Jefferson/Harry Truman (or, God forbid, that she has negatives!)
3. Await incoming ad hominem attacks stating you are RINO/socialist/anti-american/communist/gay/dumb/etc... (with no refutation, but then, they wouldn’t be ad hominem)
It is as certain as the sunrise.
Well if she is in, which it may appear she is doing, it will totally collapse support for Cain and keep Bachmann from entering. I don’t think there is enough oxygen in the room for three serious Tea Party Types. Of the three, I feel more comfortable with Palin and I think she has the best shot at knocking the sh!t out of Myth which needs to be job one.
There are only a handful of attack dogs either running or thinking of doing so. Santorum, Bachmann and Palin. We really need one who can move to the top tier. We need a fighter.
If you go on a Palin thread and say that, then you are asking for it. jmo
Recall that Woodrow Wilson was Governor of New Jersey for just two years before he was nominated but made a huge impression because of his stronmg leadership. to me thids means means not only that a case can be made for Palin but also for Christie.
>>Well, I see the braying JackAsses are already here.<<
So nice to see you acknowledge your early arrival ... I see you brought the rest of your team as well.
>>If you go on a Palin thread and say that, then you are asking for it. jmo<<
You are right, of course.
I shouldn’t get irritated, but sometimes I can’t help it.
I agree, and I think her entering the race will cause others to rethink their position.
Honestly I really like all the staunch conservatives, and think that they will pull the whole conversation to the right.
Personally I think that this is Palin’s to lose and any one else should be considered possible running mates.
Lest we forget, she is a woman, and one with all the charm that Hilary lacks.
