Sarah Palin buys a house in Scottsdale , Az

Confirmation of a Palin house purchase in Scottsdale likely would rekindle chatter about whether Palin might run a political campaign out of Arizona, the home state of U.S. Sen. John McCain, who plucked her from relative political obscurity in 2008 to be his vice-presidential running mate.

Palin has been rumored to be considering headquartering her 2012 White House campaign, if there is one, in Scottsdale. She also has been mentioned as a possible candidate for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by the retiring Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz.

Scottsdale seems like a nice - if warmer - compromise climate from the part of Alaska she’s familiar with.....>PS

Does your comments meant to be snarky or was it a serious question? If Palin is running for President, she would need a lower 48 state to live in since Alaska is too far away to travel- Phoenix which is nearby has direct flights to and from Alaska and the other major cities in the East- Sarah noted that she loved the weather in Arizona plus it seems like a bargain for that house which is gated and is in a conservative district

I have to be honest. I’ve been a big fan of her. But if she runs for Kyl’s seat that would be the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. I hope she doesn’t do that.

Not sure how anyone can go from having a lake in the backyard to living in the middle of the desert but I’m glad she’s done well enough to get what she wants.

I think the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe would be a good place to live.

Earlier this year, Politico reported that Sarah Palin would base her campaign in Scottsdale, AZ if she were to run for the GOP nomination. SarahPac Treasurer, Tim Crawford responded by email with the following comment. "There has been no decision about where a campaign would be based."

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Politicians from both parties are buzzing about the prospect of Sarah Palin choosing Scottsdale to headquarter her 2012 presidential campaign. Politco.com and other online sites are reporting Palin plans to run for president, and will launch her campaign from Scottsdale. "I just recently heard the buzz," state Republican Party Chairman Tom Morrissey said. "There's all sorts of rumors floating around," state Democratic Party Chairman Andrei Cherny responded. Political analyst Jamie Molera cited several reasons to give the rumor credit. "I don't think its something where she threw a dart on the board and said, 'Arizona's going to...

SCOTTSDALE - Members of Sarah Palin's camp are considering basing her presidential campaign in Scottsdale, according to Politico.com. She hasn't yet decided whether she will run, but Politico reports that sources within her camp think Scottsdale is a top headquarters location. For one, Palin's daughter Bristol bought a home in Maricopa a few months ago. In the wake of the Tucson shootings, Palin was blasted for a "crosshairs map" she released during the 2010 election that marked Gabrielle Giffords in Tucson as a Democratic to vote out. Some critics connected that rhetoric to the shooting, later leading her to release...

Why do people keep saying this as if it were confirmed. It has not been confirmed as to who bought the frickin’ house. The buyer is UNKNOWN.

I really doubt that she is interested in Kyl's seat. She turned down the one MurCOWsky eventually took. In her book, she stated that the Senate was a dead end. And frankly, it would be a demotion. The East Coast Liberal Republicans are dreaming about this and praying.

I was hoping she try Texas. If she don’t run for president, run to be governor of Texas, a big state.

I don’t think she should run for a Senate seat. Thats like a demotion. She should run for governor instead if higher office become an impossible task.
president > governor > senate

Is there anything special about medical, neurological or psychological services/expertise that would make Arizona a good place to raise a Downs Syndrome child?

What has she done the past few weeks that makes you skeptical that she will not run? it appears that the past few weeks makes it highly likely that she IS going to announce soon.
