I think Dan is calling out Bachman because:

1. She has been the voice for the Tea Party
2. He hopes she can drive a wedge between the
old GOPer’s (good old boys) and the conservatives.

3. OR- he may think he could be the kiss of death
if he heaps any praise on a candidate-

remember... dan,his daughter, and the rest of his family
all contribute,and get paid by the Demon party- he sometimes goes off script- but his main talking points are written by the party of evil.

Caine/Bachmann and maybe you've got a deal. America needs someone like Reagan who is perceived as "other".

Even though Reagan had been governor of California, a lot of people saw him as a former actor. After the train wreck that was Jimmy Carter, I think that resonated with many people.

At this point, we're experiencing Jimmy Carter 2, Return to Malaise Mountain, and that same outsider vibe may suit voters just fine.
