Carter: 'Probably superior' to other ex-presidents

*** UPDATE 3:59 pm ET *** Former President Carter issued a written statement after his comments aired:

"What I meant was, for 27 years the Carter Center has provided me with superior opportunities to do good."

In an interview with NBC's Brian Williams, former President Jimmy Carter, who has been a target of the right through the years, lauded his own post-presidency, telling Williams, "I feel that my role as a former president is probably superior to that of other presidents."

Carter, who is out with a new book defending his legacy, backed up his assertion by saying the Carter Center goes where the United States government does not, "to fill the vacuums in the world."

Stupid senile old peanut farmer. Of course, Hussein Obama makes him look good. He’s no longer the worst president ever.

Carter is strongly delusional. He’s the hero of his own little world.

If by superior he means revolting then yes, very much so.

Carter says his role as a “former” President is superior. Maybe he’s right. It’s his role as active President, from 1977 to 1981, where he really sucked. (Of course, next to Obama, he’s lookin’ pretty good).

I voted against the SOB in the first election I was eligible to vote in. I thought it was madness to put this peanut farmer into the White House. I was barely 18 and was able to recognize that he was a joke even then, without the Internet. I've been proved correct.

He was a lousy president and an even worse ex-president. His energy policies were beyond stupid. He believed in the allocation of scarcity instead of the distribution of wealth. The guy was a clown.

Php 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves.
Php 2:4 Do not let each man look upon his own things, but each man also on the things of others.

An excellent book on this very subject Is Inside The White House by Ronald Kessler, Pocket Books, copyrite 1993. It is worth reading for insights into the various Presidents.

VERY INTERESTING FACTS......NOT MANY OF WHICH SURPRISE ME. This is just one that is in the book..None of this surprised me.

Interesting Secret Service Perspective

Notes on a book about the Secret Service where agents reveal a lot about various Presidents and Vice
Presidents...very interesting..recap thus far:

Jimmy Carter = A complete phony who would
portray one picture of himself to public and very different in private.
I.E. Would be shown carrying his own luggage, suit cases were
always empty, he kept empty ones just for photo ops. Wanted the people to
see him as pious and a non drinker, he and family drank alcohol a lot.
Had disdain for the Secret Service, and was very irresponsible with the
“football” nuclear codes. Didn't think it was a big deal and would keep military aides at a great distance. Would never acknowledge military or Secret service they were there to serve him.

Carter, who is out with a new book defending his legacy

Carter wouldn't be defending his legacy if he didn't know that most folks think it's crap.

The best thing that ever happened to this senile washed up never-was is the current fool in the white house that saves Mr Peanut from being the absolute worst president ever. I have owned Labrador Retrievers who were more presidential than either of these losers on their best days.

Ever since he was trounched by RWR Carter has had the air of the snivelling, superior lib who for decades has truly believed one day we would all see the error of our ways. It ain`t happening. So he`s finally saying what no one else will say—`I`m BETTER than all of you! Just admit it!` The ultimate lib fantasy—his awesomeness ^s so awesome no one can bear to admit to it. We`re all jealous of his magnificence. Carter is and always has been an insufferable ninny.

here is a little more..

Barack Obama - Clintons over again - hates the military and looks down on the Secret Service.

Bill Clinton = Presidency was one giant party. Not trustworthy, he was nice because
he wanted everyone to like him but life is just one big game and party to him.
Hillary Clinton = Another phony.
Personality would change the instant cameras were near. She hated with
open disdain the military and Secret Service. Again another one who felt
people are there to serve her.She was always trying to keep tabs on Bill Clinton.

He’s right. His presidency served as a warning of what not to do in that position.
