To: The Antiyuppie

I know I’m probably in the minority here, but was this really a crime? We can talk and gufaw all we want, but it’s just not the same when a female teacher seduces her male students. I’m sorry. These boys haven’t been violated or cheated out of anything. Heck, they’ve been given a great story to tell their buddies over beers twenty years from now.

I think this sort of thing got swept under the rug years ago because most of the administrators were men. Nowadays, many school leaders are women, and they’re the ones not willing to let it go. It’s probably the mothering instinct kicking in or something like that.
