This air-headed twit is full of excrement and herself...she is nauseating to watch and I have never been able to spend more than a very few moments with her broadcasts, whatever the subject.

I will give her credit for being smart enough to extort/extract a few million out of the damn fools at CBS that hired her in the first place.

Good riddance to her.

“I never watched her news segment even once”.

...neither did I. Nor do I watch any other commie “newscaster”. My kids are instructed to keep the kenyan OFF the TV as well. If, by accident, his mug appears, it’s within 2.3 seconds that it’s gone. I prefer to hear snippets aired and commented on by Mark Levin, Rush etc. NOT Hannity! He’ll play entire speeches and then say the same tired crapola he said a week or a month earlier. “This is unbelievable”, “total disregard to the constitution”, “no concept of what our forefathers intended” etc, blah, blah. THEN, he’ll have Rove or Newt on to comment!

The good news is that CBS will most likely end her "Katie Couric's
Notebook" spot on my usual afternoon radio station.

(It used to be worse. The station also ran Jim Hightower during the same hour as well...)

One of these days Americans, especially Joe Sixpack, will get a clue and do exactly that.

For now, Americans are busy carrying this country on their backs, raising tomorrow’s citizens, working at jobs... most decent Americans at any rate. They live their lives by sound bytes, something the Democrats/libs know. The pubs know it but they aren’t near as skilled at manipulating public opinion as the Dems. Thus we have no opposition party, more’s the pity.

The average busy soccer mom’s all busy maybe working a job, running the kids to appointments; the dad’s wrestling with work worries, struggling with bills, afraid of the pink slip. They hear about a big bash to honor Katie Couric, again, a nothing burger watched by nobody but hey, soccer mom and worried dad, they don’t know that. They think that Couric must be big deal in that media world that they do not know. They don’t know that the hood’s being pulled over their eyes, that what is real on that Shakespearean stage is the stuff of actors and producers.

So just cause they don’t much watch Katie Couric, considering her a bit too perky and her interviews a bit too fluffy for their plebian tastes, well dang, everybody else seems to love her.

The secret here is one of two things. One you mentioned...the American public gets a clue. And this WILL happen. Tea Party folk are the first collection of Americans with keen insight to how they are being fooled by those media/blue bloods behind the curtain. With an Internet and thus increased access to other like minded people, Freerepublic being a fine example, soon the power of the collective American public will put a stop to this. This past November was just a peek. Getting all those cats to herd takes time.

Second, we need some kind of opposition party. These perfectly coiffed, finger-nail polished, cocktail party invite-seeking repubs just aren’t up to the job. So okay, maybe they don’t want to be guilty of deliberately deceiving the populace (an exception being Newt Gingrich, give him credit for being a lying sleaze bucket at least), but they could get on the public stage and quash all these attempts to deceive.

Sorry for going on but it’s a bone of contention with me.

I would rather do my own eye surgery than assemble such a top-ten list. The horror!
