President Obama today announced his support of returning Israel and Palestine to the pre war borders of 1967. This announcement was an unprecedented act and is yet another example of his policy of blaming Israel first. President Obama's course is a rapid and drastic departure from previous U.S. policy. These actions are totally unacceptable. Abandoning decades of peacemaking efforts, this plan is a return to the failed past and would heavily jeopardize Israeli security and stability in an already unstable Middle East.
Americans know that a safer Israel is a safer world, and expect our President to put his best foot forward towards accomplishing this goal. Unfortunately it is now very clear Barack Obama simply does not support one of America's closest allies.
Israel needs the support of the American people now more than ever. Take a stand today and sign the petition to tell Barack Obama: Don't betray Israel.
Representative Bachmann has also posted to Facebook and tweeted other responses:
President Obama is not only wrong he is dangerous to Israeli and Middle East peace policies. I vehemently disagree with the President on Israel. To make this announcement the day before Netanyahus visit to the USA is an in your face insult to Israel. I call on the President to reverse course and stand with Israel

Washington, May 19 - Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-06) released the following response after President Obamas speech today on his Middle East policy, which included a dramatic shift away from support of Israel:
Today President Barack Obama has again indicated that his policy towards Israel is to blame Israel first. In a shocking display of betrayal towards our ally, President Obama is now calling on Israel to give up yet more land and return to its 1967 borders. If there is anything that has been proven, the policy of land-for-peace has meant that Israel has continually had to give away increasing amounts of its land and decrease its size. In exchange, it still has not known security. President Obama wants to further this policy by putting Israel in a very vulnerable position with borders that would be extremely difficult to defend.
I am calling on President Obama to reverse course and clearly renounce the position which he spelled out today. This is an insult to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the day before the Prime Minister is scheduled to come to the United States. President Obamas remarks are clearly in opposition to the position that Israel has taken in regards to its own borders. These remarks do not reflect the will of the constituents in my district, nor do I believe that they represent the will of the majority of the American people.
America has stood with Israel since President Harry Truman recognized Israel a mere 11 minutes after Israel became a state in 1948. But during his tenure as President of the United States, President Obama has initiated a policy which shows contempt for Israels concern and safety. In an era dubbed the Arab Spring we have seen increased volatility in the Middle East region, and President Obama has only added to the heightened hostility by calling on Israel to return to the 1967 borders. I disagree with President Obama and I stand with our friend Israel 100 percent. I am saddened and disappointed deeply by President Obamas statement.
LOL. This guy was going to betray Israel the moment he was elected. Please.
Maybe someone will finally get the courage to get some dirt on this guy..
She needs to nail President Omarmullah on this one. Waaaay off the ranch.
I lived in Cairo 3 years. Every arab will see the Resident’s statements as clear direction from a muslim leader of the US to attack Israel on all borders and internally. It is extremely dangerous, many people will suffer violence because of this stupidity.
Easy they are quiet as are prominent Jewish Leaders.
He was mentored by “reverend” Wright. He must be proud. I wonder if BO’s children have also been taught to hate Jews.
I am ready now to vote for Bachman.
I like her.
I am getting more and more impressed...and let them try to attack her perosnal life...ha...23 adoptive/foster kids?
Bachmann/West?
Bachman/Cain ?
I’m starting to think that a Cain/Bachman ticket would be a winner !!!
OKAAAAy!!!
obama needs to be taken to the holocaust museum and taught a thing or two as they did with Schwarzenegger and others.
Excellent response by Michele.
She is a good woman.
I'd particularly like to hear from Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Chuck Schumer. Do THEY agree that Israel should return to 1967 borders? Let them speak clearly so all their Jewish constiuents can hear them.
Michele is great on most issues. I support her totally because of her immigration position.
She is unafraid to take the conservative position.
Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is a JStreeter. Chuck Schumer isn’t up for re-election until 2016.
I wouldn’t do that.
He’ll probably just stuff pictures and documents down his paints to help aide the cause of Holocaust-deniers
Now I’m really convinced of this entire Osama thing. I knew something was up. The Manning video floating around now is a stunner.

If Obama betrayed Israel, what did the American Jews (78% of them) do when they helped elect him in 2008?
