They let the guy bleed out because at that point they thought he had fired at them. So they were playing judge dredd.
Any time you point a firearm at a cop you stand a good chance of getting shot. The problem was these cops didn’t announce themselves so he didnt know they were cops. Most likely they were getting ready to do the dynamic entry when the mans wife saw them, probably causing them to enter before they were all ready.
Its what happens in a police state.

A. The officer shall return the warrant to the magistrate and at the same time deliver to him a written inventory of the property taken. The inventory shall be made publicly, or in the presence of the person from whose possession it was taken, and of the applicant for the warrant, if they are present. The inventory shall be verified by the affidavit of the officer which shall be taken by the magistrate at the time it is delivered to the magistrate. The affidavit shall recite that the inventory contains a true and detailed account of all the property taken.
B. The magistrate shall, if requested, deliver a copy of the inventory to the person from whose possession the property was taken and to the applicant for the warrant.
Not one of those “reviews” will be conducted “at arm’s length” from the persons involved.
And that stinks to high heaven.
I wonder whether Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio would be a good investigator for this crime? He seems to be a pretty arrow? Someone other than the local parties involved need to be investigating this. Has there been a call for the state law enforcement to get involved? This investigation by the local boys involved stinks to high heaven!

I am firmly of the opinion that ALL “SWAT” teams need to be disbanded and the equipment sold at auction. There are simply WAY too many mistakes being made to allow their use to continue. “Dynamic entry” home invasions is what they really do. Nabbing a few drug dealers simply is NOT WORTH IT. The only time “SWAT” tactics “might” be justifiable is in a hostage situation.
What is really going to hurt is when the widow receives the bill for the SWAT team expense.

We had a similar incidence while out camping in the Southern California desert. We were camping maybe 75 yards off what is known as the Bradshaw trail about 30 miles South of Desert Center in the midst of some Ironwood trees. Around 10pm two guys that we could see came into camp unannounced shining flashlights around. There were three of us armed with 45’s ready for action and we told them so and wanted them to tell us who they were.
Turned out to be young Border Patrol guys who were traveling on 4 wheelers. IMHO that is not the way to come into a camp well after dark out in the middle of no where. It all turned out well but it easily could have gone the other way. The area does have illegals and druggies trying to sneak in the country on occasion.
I found a contact page on the Pima County Sheriff’s website. I reported a murder.
The warrant was executed; and so was a presumed innocent man.
My husband was saying that the records could be sealed after the fact, but he says that the request for sealing the records should be sought and the justification by the judge for sealing the records should be released. But someone has to ask the questions and be persistent.
Also, all records of the fire/rescue dispatch should be requested. Did they have a specific address or addresses for the SWAT warrant(s)? Forget the police dispatch.
By the time they are done making up crap about this guy, he’ll be the leader of a stateside Hamas cell.
Isn’t this in the part of the state that wants to secede and form its own liberal utopia?
