LOS ANGELES (AP) - Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver, separated after the former governor revealed he had fathered a child with a member of their household staff, The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday.
The couple announced in a joint statement May 9 that they had separated after 25 years of marriage. The Times reported Tuesday that Shriver moved out of the family's Brentwood mansion earlier this year after Schwarzenegger acknowledged the child is his.
"After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago," Schwarzenegger said in a statement issued to the newspaper. "I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.
"I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time," the statement concluded. "While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not."

Guess he hung around with the Kennedy boys a bit too much.

I'm not condoning his infidelity in any way, but at least he didn't compound one evil with another, as I would imagine would be the typical Hollywood way.
FWIW, there’s been talk in CA for years, that there’s more than just one.
Several flings, so who knows how many little Arnold’s and little Arnette’s there might be out there?
It was pathetic that conservatives like Sean Hannity lined up to support this creep, ignoring credible accusations that he had sexually harassed and groped women.

There’s a “tabloid” side of me that can’t wait to see photos of the child’s mother.
According to reports, the staffer in question retired last year.
As for opinion of Ahnold...it was low to begin with and has dropped through the floor as of this morning.
The National Enquirer supposedly broke this story. It made it to the news at CNS don’t know if or when MSM will pick up on it. The MSM gave Gore a pass and covered for him and did not report.
