Newt Gingrich came in for some serious criticism on today's Morning Joe for his attack on Paul Ryan's health care proposal.
Reacting to footage of Newt on Meet the Press alluding to Paul Ryan's health care proposal as "radical," Joe Scarborough accused Gingrich of being in "the mushy middle." Pat Buchanan came with the unkindest cut of all, saying Gingrich is "out on the left wing of the Republican party."

I have always thought that Newt was quite smart and a real idea guy with many good common sense conservative solutions to some of our problems. Then there are these occasional lapses into strange ideas and actions, that cause me to question his mental health. He has just scratched his own name off the list of viable candidates for president. It truly boggles the mind. He had little chance to start with, and he just put a political bullet in his own head. Strange.

Would someone here please post a link to the actual Republican Party platform planks? Or...if they have the actual facts, simple present them here.
I've looked all over the place and cannot find them.
Oh...I've seen lots and lots of opinion on what they "are" or at least should be, but I've never seen the actual Party Platform list.

Sad part is Newt was a true visionary at one point in the late 80s / early 90s. The Contract With America, the attempt to cut spending in the 90s. He was a driving force—if not the driving force—behind it. What the hell happened to him?
