I don’t think he is trying to get Obama re-elected, by all accounts he loaths the man. Now if it was Hillary? But he also likes Sarah Palin too? I think he’s a GOP —old school Rockefeller Type Republican Capitalist with a thin coat of Conservative (like the sort John F. Kennedy wore)ideals. I want to hear what Donald says! A good open race is best for the nation.

I don't have a candidate YET, I'm waiting to see who announces and what my options are, like the vast majority of freepers. I do have several candidates I've ELIMINATED from consideration, including Trump, Gingrinch, and Ron Paul... why, are a Trump fan?

We need Trump to run and be blocker for Palin. I can see him getting some votes but—the real candidate will be Sarah—I would like to see Trump as VP—Imagine sending him to deal with the Chinese! With Trump as ax man Sarah can take the high road and get this nation back on track.

The only guy in America that has the b@lls to take on this marxist gets a serious look from me.

So, you are undecided, isn’t that special.

I saw Trump in an interview swear up and down that he would never run except as a Republican, precisely because to do so would re-elect Soetoro.

Either people don’t remember this, or they don’t believe him.

Let us pray then that your political acumen has matured over the past 20 years, because that was a damn stupid thing to have done, in both foresight and hindsight.

Hey, Bunkie, I'm not falling for the third party trap this time. The Dims use the same old playbook but switch the characters around. The unfortunate thing about it is that the GOP manages to help them by backing a weak candidate and we end up with the likes of Dole or McCain.

Here's my NEWSFLASH!:

We have to support the truly conservative Republican IN THE PRIMARIES!

If our nominee ends up being the political 90 lb. RINO handicapped weakling against Zero on Soros steroids, guess who gets knocked out of the presidential ring?

Actually, that excitment will pull in a lot of voters.

Imagine Huck and Obama in a debate, compared to Trump and Obama. Snooze vs excitment.

If that happens they would almost make it Pay Per View, and that’s good for our side.

The 2012 presidential election is not American Idol. It's a fight for the survival of The United States of America as a Constitutional Republic.

In 2008 the excitment was on the Obama side. it’s no longer there, they’ve gone to dispair. This time, assuming Trump runs, the excitement will be on our side, and it will be wider and deeper than in 2008.

The future of the country is at stake, but the green eye shade bean counters, who may actually have the best solutions for the future, will never even make it to the stage.

Excitement on our side is what is needed to win, it draws people in, and allows our side to be heard. By way of example, the mainstream has hated the BC issue from day one, but Trump forced them, kicking a screaming, to cover it. Look for more of the same.

There are some things that are essentially unchagable, and our tow party political system is one.

The Founding Fathers, wisely, set up the country with a two party system. For all of its flaws, it’s the best system in the world.

After all, when you strip everything away, there is only good and evil, the very basis on which the two parties are built.

They've gone to despair? Says you. Those Obamabots can rally like nobody's business. Check out Obama-loving Bertha Lewis of ACORN doing the community organizer liberal activist thing at a CHURCH SERVICE two weeks ago: Bertha Lewis Activist Choir Sings Wal-Mart Sucks!

You may want to cover your balding head. Seems the sun's reflection on it has blinded you to reality. Trump is NOT conservative and he is NOT presidential material. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I do not trust Donald Trump.

very true - and I think you made a better representation of my (attempted) point than I did when you said “the R might change”. I don’t have an issue with the two party system per se, but I sure am tired of listening to the parroting of Rove and other Republican Establishment nimrods every time there’s a discussion about whether Trump is genuine or not. The more I hear of Boehner and McConnell bypassing our newly elected rebels/freshmen, the more I see that we have a loooong row to hoe to clean up Washington.

Thanks for your time and comments - always appreciate a little healthy correction :)

That's all wonderful, well and good.

But, personally, I'm not excited about a candidate with even fewer conservative credentials than George W. Bush. And an even less persuasive conversion to conservatism than Mitt Romney's.

We can win by nominating a conservative -- whether he wears a green eyeshade or not. On the other hand, no matter the result, we cannot win by nominating a liberal accompanied by a brass band and a calliope.

The Donald is not what conservatives need; he's not what the country needs.

The Founding Fathers, wisely, set up the country with a two party system.

Dead wrong there, Birdman. The founders expressly wished there to be NO political parties. Most Electoral College votes=President. 2nd most=Vice President.

They greatly feared the rise of what we have right now.

If the Democrat Party had not so totally Kremlin-ized itself, they would realize that Trump could be their best possible candidate. I really wonder why he doesn't run in Democrat Primaries! He is a natural born Blue Dog Leader, i.e., a "patriotic" Democrat. He sure as hell ain't no Republican.

BTW, as a Democrat, he could beat the stuffing out of any candidate I have heard the Republicans mention. Me? I am looking for a total Dark Horse .. General Petraeus would be nice, or a straight-shooter like West, with Palin on the ticket, or Bachmann as Veep.
