Stupid thing for him to say. By the time we had Japanese and Nazi war criminals in hand, the war was over. They were subjected to trials, then jailed or executed.

It's like the argument that the atom bomb was racist because we only used it on the Japanese.

That neatly glosses over the fact that Germany was already beaten down and was being carved up by the victorious allies. If we'd dropped atom bombs on Germany we'd, of course, killed our own troops. Japan was still in the war.

I can't imagine why we would torture the Nazi and Japanese War Criminals ~ they were all prisoners and the war was over.
