If you’re too lazy to get ID, then you don’t deserve to vote.

A-freakin-men!

We’re all victims of voter fraud, in that, our votes are diluted because they get counted with the illegal fraudulent ones.

Agreed. Funny how that particular form of disenfranchisement never comes up for these libs.

Besides, don't most of the "vicitims" already have state IDs to collect their welfare, WIC, EBT, etc...?

Is it also wrong to ask them to present ID to collect public support? (I'm almost afraid to ask!)

Not to mention if you live in a rural community you need to drive to get anywhere.

If it's rural ENOUGH, you may not need a license. I knew a guy on Virginia's Eastern Shore who had lost his license long long before, and he ran the back roads for years with neither license nor tags.

people in rural communities can't get them if their county doesn't even have a DMV

LOL... we're supposed to believe that there are entire counties in Wisconsin where nobody has a driver's license.

Or that student's don't have drivers licenses. I've known very, very few kids that don't have a license by the time they're 18. And it doesn't matter how often they move or how much it is an inconvenience, Emily, or Pat, or whatever your name is, because they are probably required by law to UPDATE THEIR LICENSE INFO 30 DAYS AFTER MOVING!! And that requirement has nothing to do with elections.

....I say, if you’ve never paid federal taxes on a net basis, you can’t vote in a POTUS election! One needs to have skin in the game!

I dare say Ms Emily will drool over that quote. Such rich possibilities to twist your meaning, to be creatively inspired to the very depths of her socialist core.

Emily appears to have what my dear old Grandmother called “a case of the vapors”. I’ve spent quite a bit of time in rural Wisconsin. I’ve never once encountered anyone who couldn’t get a DL or a State ID because of the lack of a DMV facility in their County. Not one.

A few years ago a similar law that had passed in MO was struck down because it made it too hard to get the ID needed to vote. Included in the legislation was funding for a number of vans outfitted with everything needed to go to people who were unable to get to an office to get their ID. So for instance, if someone was an invalid and didn't have an ID to vote, the van would go to them to take care of it.

There's only one reason to oppose laws of this sort: To perpetuate wide-spread voter fraud.

“And all of that voter fraud the backers of the bill keep crying about? I’m going to say this one more time and hope it actually penetrates some skulls: IT. DOESN’T. EXIST.”

What you find if you examine what they are actually saying is that "nobody was convicted of voter fraud." Some idiot said that in MO recently, that nobody had been convicted of voter fraud in MO in the last 50 years. That might be because without knowing who actually committed the fraud, it's hard to convict them. For instance, in St Louis when the polls were kept open in dem districts past the legal hours, an affidavit was signed by a dead person, then quickly switched with one signed by a living person. I believe it was during the save voting cycle that more votes were cast in St Louis county than there were registered voters. And during the last primary season, there was a precinct where Somali immigrants who were obviously NOT citizens (unable to read, write, or speak English) voted, and they broke state law to boot, which required that "interpreters" (ostensibly for blind people) be family members.

Betcha Emily transferred to J-Skool because thinking required in math and science classes gave her real bad headaches.

Dragging out the old saw of “Jim Crow” laws (which were enacted by DemocRATs,)means that the new “disenfranched out unregistered college activists, acorn stooges, union thugs bused in and illegal aliens who only have Mexican IDs used for check writing, opening a bank account.
