EL PASO, Texas (AP) -- President Barack Obama says his administration has answered the concerns of Republican lawmakers who want the U.S.-Mexico border better secured before they are willing to take on comprehensive immigration reform.

Standing at the border Tuesday, Obama mocked Republicans for never being satisfied and always changing the conditions about what's needed to secure the border. Said the president: "Maybe they'll say we need a moat. Or alligators in the moat."

He is not being well received. Focused completely on asian and indian tech immigrants.

When he spoke of the wall, he got booed.

His cheering squad are the only ones clapping.

He also said the fence is basically built and the border is secure so now it’s time for immigration reform.

Maybe we need some real enforcement?

If we can git Osama, we should be able to control the borders.

I think he just said Rupert Murdoch is a supporter of illegal immigration.

I’ve been saying for years I’d be happy if we had what we gave South Korea. Fence, minefields, guards and bilingual warning signs.

Obama, the great uniter, never misses a chance to publicly mock those who disagree with him, and to dismiss their concerns without even recognizing that they might have some legitimacy.

Obama, the man who worries about the feelings of America’s enemies, and won’t even use the word “war” when talking about them, has no problem using warlike language when talking about American conservatives.

Our brilliant, articulate president said that Republicans want to build a moat, and put alligators in the moat?

I just can’t believe some of the idiocy coming out of his mouth sometimes.

Of course, he’s learned the Saul Alinsky lesson of ridiculing your opponents. So now he wants Republicans to say that of course they oppose putting alligators in a moat.

Our political discourse sinks to new lows doesn’t it?

This is the same Dimwit that was going to bring bi-partisanship to the United States. Mocking Republicans who know the truth while enforcing the lies told by Democrats.

That border is about as secure as the water that is running over the riverbanks of the Mississippi.

“so now it’s time for immigration reform.”

I agree. He’s an immigrant (probably illegal) and he needs to reform, and conform, to what the American people want. While he was there, he should have crossed the border and just kept on going.

War like messages? But, but, the liberals lectured us about political civility after Tucson. Don’t the liberals take their own advice????

...and bilingual warning signs.

I agree: English and Swahili - in REAL TINY PRINT - on our side of the minefield! Just an idea - we can expand as needed!

He obviously thinks he's being funny at his opponents expense, but the only people laughing are the far left nutters.

You don't have to be totally against the Kenyan Kommie's agenda to find him sophomoric & irritating.

What a total idiot!
Republicans, Conservatives and Tea Party adherents want something a lot simpler than alligators in a moat :

DO SOMETHING, DOOFUS... ANYTHING!

As a start, tell us what you ARE doing now, and judging by the results, how effective is it?

Mocking any suggestion of doing your job can't be neutralized by telling lame jokes.

If Obama is back to mocking and ridiculing his opposition, then he’s between a rock a hard place politically. Yeah!

He’s already been in a position where the majority of citizens opposed him, with Obamacare, and he really can’t afford to alienate ANYONE again who voted for him in 2008.
