The US has released five video clips of Osama bin Laden that it says was taken from the Pakistani compound where the leader of al-Qaeda was reportedly killed last week.
The videos mainly show bin Laden rehearsing taped remarks, but there is also video showing him watching news coverage of himself on TV.
Al Jazeera's Rosiland Jordan, reporting from the Pentagon in Washington DC, said that the video clips were shown to journalists, but the sound was removed from them.
"We did see a video of Osama bin Laden watching video of himself on what appears to be Al Jazeera," she said.
Wayne Madsen, an investigative journalist speaking to Al Jazeera from Washington DC, said that it was still difficult to confirm that all these videos do show bin Laden, as some are not clear.
"There are going to be many more questions raised after the release of these videos, because there have been videos and images in the past that were thought to be of bin Laden, but some of those turned out to be fake."
Compound videos
Earlier on Saturday, Al Jazeera obtained new footage of the compound where Osama bin Laden was killed, that showed the interiors of the house where the al-Qaeda leader is thought to have been hiding for up to six years.
Filmed during daylight hours, there is no doubt that this is the house where bin Laden was shot and killed by US forces, Al Jazeera's Imtiaz Tyab said, reporting from the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
"These pictures ... give a sense of just how Osama bin Laden - the world's most wanted fugitive - lived relatively undetected right here in Abbottabad," our correspondent said.
It was not immediately clear how long after the raid that the footage was taken.

Makes me wonder if he really did try to "shoot his way out" of the compound as Obama and the other pathological liars have indicated.
I really want to know why they couldn't arrest him, tie him up and put him on a helicopter as was the case when Saddam was found.
This is yet another case where President Bush did this kind of thing right, and Obama did it all wrong.
This is all starting to “stink”. First off it was a million dollar mansion, now it is a stink hole with no internet access or phone service. How is a terrorist leader running an op out of a place like that? Who is really telling the truth?

Re Bin Laden’s ring on different fingers:
I have a favorite opal ring that I frequently wear on two different fingers. If it is cold and my fingers shrink, I wear it on my middle finger so it doesn’t slide off; if it is hot and my hands get bigger, I switch to my ring finger. Also differs if I have eaten a bunch of potato chips that day and my fingers get a little swollen. (Seriously.) If my arthritis kicks in a little, I might even switch the ring to my other hand.
Bin Laden’s ring on different fingers could signal something, or be indicative of photo fraud. But sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
No one has suggested that Bin Laden tried to shoot his way out of the compound. It is said that he did not have a weapon in his hand but there was an AK47 in the room and I think they mentioned another weapon. Perhaps he was about to lunge for it/them? His wife did lunge at the Seals and was shot in the leg. I have heard several of Obama’s statements and none said anything about “shoot his way out.” Where did you get that mis-information?
The most sensible reason I have heard for not capturing him is that probably a number of people would be kidnapped in other countries, and held for ransom for Bin Laden’s release. How would you like to be the one to decide whether to allow an airplane with 200 American men, women and children on board to be blown up, or to release Bin Laden? This method has been employed by Palestinian terrorists who capture a few Isaeli soldiers and demand release of a large number of Palestinian prisoners. Bin Laden was loved by many, Saddam by very few. So I think both Bush and Obama have handled their respective captures the right way.

It’s a stink hole because first it was shot up, had a helicopter crash inside and blow up and burn, then the Seals did a fast run and grab and getaway. Then the Pakistan military came in and took custody of 23 chidren and perhaps 9 women, including Bin Laden’s wounded and bleeding wife. ALso several other people were also killed and bled all over. Presumably, the woman and children took their possessions that they could carry. Meanwhile the neighbers, adults and kids have been touring the place and who knows what furniture and stuff they carried off, if the military didn’t already grab the best stuff?
Bin Laden deliberately avoided having internet access and phone service to avoid being traced. In fact it was an indiscrete phone call by a friend to his trusted courier that enabled our intelligence to find this place. They had gardens, fruit trees, a cow and chickens, as well as other food delivery, so they were set up for the long war. It probably did cost a million to build with all the walls and fortifications. There just was not a lot of luxury, which was not his style, nor that of the bride that was given to him (the one shot) probably in the tribal territories where luxury for women is unlikely.
