Illegal immigrants in Northern Virginia knew where to go if they needed a high-quality fake green card or Social Security card: They found Eulalio A. Cruz.

From his Manassas home, Cruz, 33, sent cellphone photos of customers to his computer. He’d add addresses and birth dates, used the right kind of ink, and printed the fakes on card stock with holographic images. Sets of documents went for $120 a pop. He’d use a series of runners to make the exchanges.Federal immigration officials say that Cruz, who this week pleaded guilty to racketeering in federal court in Richmond, was a key player in one of the largest and most sophisticated document mills they have uncovered. His Manassas operation was part of 19 that ran in 11 states, stretching from Nashville to Providence, R.I., officials said. Each year, the ring produced between 10,000 and 15,000 fake documents. They wired at least $1 million to the bosses in Mexico.

As the federal and state governments continue to crack down on illegal immigration, such document mills are becoming a growing obstacle. Immigrants, seeking to skirt local and national laws, need the documents to work and drive. Cruz’s ring turned to violence, prosecutors said, to protect its turf from rivals, just as drug dealers have done for decades.

No... the accountant said that even though the Feds would not take the e-file... send in payment and hardcopy file and they would???? Even the accountant does not understand this stuff. My Dad NEVER e-filed.... could be some POS has been using his SS number for years.

He was fighting them (sick as he was) a couple of years ago when they hit him with additional taxes. Who knows if you are paying taxes against your own income and also your succubus illegal usurper’s income as well??? WTH!!! I have a feeling this is going on all over the place and most taxpayers don’t even realize their SS number is being used.

Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity, NJ L/E authorities said.

The Texas brothers turned a NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker.

The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses for any state in the US, passports and resident alien cards, said state police. Officers happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in a NJ hotel parking lot. Authorities wouldn't identify the NJ hotel by name for fear it would spark retribution. The Drug Interdiction Task Force, regularly runs checks.

The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout. Authorities approached the Texas brothers when they returned to the NJ hotel and questioned them separately.

The Texas brothers consented to a search. Police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs. All told, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street when sold to "impoverished illegals." Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 Social Security cards. ####

The most widespread abuse stems from the requirement that children live with the worker for more than six months of the year. IRS does little to verify the claim. Many immigrants claim non-existent children, or claim children who they’ve left behind with relatives. Those with two or more children and income below $32,121 could get as much as $4,008. It is estimated that illegals got $22 billion EITC refunds.

REFERENCE In July 2010, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) released the results of a study which examined the costs of illegal immigration at the federal, state and local levels.

The study found that U.S. state and local governments shell out $84.2 billion annually in various services (law enforcement, schools, social services, etc.), with California taxpayers alone, spending $21 billion on illegal aliens every year.

The same study found that $29 billion is spent every year in federal funds on illegal aliens. So, while it would cost a one-time fee of about $135 billion to deport every single illegal alien in the country, it is actually a bargain considering the fact that it already costs us $113 billion annually to keep them here.

Feds would not take the e-file this is true, I did my GF’S estate, they would not accept e-file , after she passed I was advise I had 6 months to file taxes. You know what the illegal can walk away and it’s like these are non-arrestable offences even if you know where they live & work. The gov will blow you off
