Hmmm.... I got this in an email today:

The problem with this 'new' birth certificate is that it's, well....new. It lists his birthday as August 4, 1961, then lists his father's native country as Kenya . The problem with that is Kenya didn't exist until 1963; it was British East Africa or East Africa Protectorate until then. It also lists the hospital of his birth as Kapi'olani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital, which didn't exist until 1978. Prior to that time it was Kauaikeolani Children's Hospital. It is also dated April 25, 2011, with Dr. Alvin T. Onaka signing to the stamp of "I certify this is a true copy or abstract of the record on file in the Hawaii Department of State Health". Being an abstract does not mean it is real or official; it means it matches what is in the electronic system, which would have been put in some time after 1978 because of the hospital name, and as recently as April 25, 2011, because of the date, or any time in between.� Another error: In 1961, they were still recorded as ' Negro' not African American...

Obama fancies himself as a great speaker and believes he can talk his way into and out of most situations. Remember, he wanted to sit down and talk with Imanutjob in Iran to “talk” him down from his nuclear ambitions? Also, Obama is very concerned with how the muslim world views him, hence all the pandering to muslims. IF Obama had been involved in the decision making on whether to take down Osama, he would have wanted to “talk” Pakistan into giving him up, thus allowing them to assist in Osama’s escape. He would not have allowed a strike inside a muslim country, without their concent, to take out a target. Never. It would hurt his image with them. Obams did not make that call.

This really sucks. It will forever remain a mystery as to how the mortality of UBL came to an end. My comment is directed to the executive, and not the operational.

Assuming it was possible, we should have nabbed him alive, brought him to military trial at Gitmo, convict accordingly, then sentence by hanging. A perfect sentence would have also incorporated the opportunity for every family member of a 9-11 victim to say their peace, face to face.

I don't know if this account is true or not but the sitroom photo makes question if it is...

The thing that stands out to me is that 0bama doesn't have a main seat at the table. He is squeezed in and has a second rate chair suggesting he showed up late to the party. The Ulsterman story suggests that 0bama was notified of the raid while playing golf and taken back to the sitroom. Other news accounts say 0bama played golf that day and his attire suggests the same. Would you go out and play golf in the morning before one of the most important acts of your Presidency? I would be too nervous.

If that’s true they made a very bad mistake. To kill the one evil man they empowered a more deadly one. Obama’s policies may not have already resulted in more deaths than Osama, but they certainly will if he gets re-elected.

Better that they would have let Obama fail, and make his failure notorious.

The primary opposition to this plan originated from Valerie Jarrett, and it was her opposition that was enough to create uncertainty within President Obama. Obama would meet with various components of the pro-invasion faction, almost always with Jarrett present, and then often fail to indicate his position. This situation continued for some time, though the division between Jarrett/Obama and the rest intensified more recently, most notably from Hillary Clinton. She was livid over the president's failure to act, and her office began a campaign of anonymous leaks to the media indicating such. As for Jarrett, her concern rested on two primary fronts. One, that the military action could fail and harm the president's already weakened standing with both the American public and the world. Second, that the attack would be viewed as an act of aggression against Muslims, and further destabilize conditions in the Middle East.

Q: What changed the president's position and enabled the attack against Osama Bin Laden to proceed?

A: Nothing changed with the president's opinion – he continued to avoid having one. Every time military and intelligence officials appeared to make progress in forming a position, Jarrett would intervene and the stalling would begin again.

So was she also directing him in the IL Senate when he consistently failed to act or avoided having a position by voting present?

It’s a reasoned question. If for no other reason that appearances sake, I wouldn’t have done it.

If your guys are going into harms way, you don’t go out and play. It’s actually a time that calls for reverence and a somber engaged demeanor.

I don’t honestly get the impression that he needed to draw attention to himself to get the job done. It is fair to say that his crew may have seen it that way though. I will grant him that cover if it’s true.
