ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- A Minnesota lawmaker's speech against banning gay marriage in the state's Constitution has become an online hit.
A video of Rep. Steve Simon's remarks had more than 170,000 views on YouTube early Thursday.
At a Capitol hearing on Monday, the St. Louis Park Democrat asked, "How many gays must God create before we accept that he wants them around?"

I was thinking the same thing. The AP wrote an article to get more people to watch the video. They even link to it in the article.
And many if not most of those were probably thinking "what a STUPID woman this broad is!"

Using that argument, God makes pedophiles, mass murderers, and people who enjoy bestiality. Morally speaking, the a small percentage of the population is Gay neither proves it morally correct. Pro-Gay activist essentially say a person is born Gay without a free will. What about pedophiles, too? None of their arguments make sense and it’s all about nothing other than that they want to make the Democratic Party stronger.

What a stupid question. Of course, I shouldn't expect logic from a liberal. Let's pose that same question with these scenarios:
How many rapists must God create before we accept that he wants them around?
How many pedophiles must God create before we accept that he wants them around?
How many thieves, murderers, liars, drug dealers and users, extortionists, prostitutes, etc. must God create before we accept that he wants them around?
The list can go on and on but God didn't "create" people to be any of those things; they chose to be those things. Those who do these sins must repent of these sins, not blame their upbringing or claim "God made them this way". All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and He now requires all to repent and come to knowledge of Him.
Fact is, God has already declared what He wants from mankind in terms of marriage. From the beginning, He created male and female and declared that a marriage between a man and a woman is good. There are no same-gender pairings equivalent to male/female marriage in the Scripture that God calls "good". In fact, there are numerous passages where He considers the sexual behavior of such couplings as "not good", using some of the harshest, strongest language. Any objective observer would conclude that if God feels this way about same-gender sexual BEHAVIOR, then it follows that God doesn't accept so-called "same-sex marriage". We don't have to accept anything that God had nothing to do with. And if God does want them around, He wants them to repent of their wicked behavior and stop blaming Him for their sinful choice.

Good work - I was going to post something similar.
Just because there are “a lot of them” doesn’t mean they are to be considered righteous and “good”.
We’re all born with a propensity to sin, some in some ways, others in other ways. Just because a lot of us [kill, steal, commit adultery, lie, despise our parents] doesn’t mean that God wants that particular sin “around”.
God does not create homosexuals, they are converted.
So, a lot of people do something wrong, and because of the sheer number, that somehow represents God’s approval?
Depends somewhat on your interpretation of Romans 1.

I’m teaching it in my adult Sunday School class. You’re not saying that verse 24 says that God turns people into homosexuals because of their sin, are you? I can’t stretch Paul’s words anywhere near that conclusion.

He doesn’t turn them into anything. It’s His mercy that restrains all of our sinful desires and shameful lusts. For those who He does not call, who know the truth but suppress it with their wickedness, He hands them over, just as Peter was handed over. It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Read Hebrews 10:26.
