As a “younger” member (24) I thought the behavior around here was strange as well. I don’t care if the Easter Bunny administration killed Osama I’m glad he’s dead and proud of our soldiers. The son of a bitch will never hurt another American and thats what counts.

Frankly I was shocked at the attiude around here. There must have been miles of tin foil used and enough conspiracy theories to choke abovetopsecret. If you don’t support the administration thats fine I don’t either. But support the soldiers who risked their lives shooting the bastard. We can save the garbage for later.

Heretofore I thought such strange behavior was a sign of the aging population on FR but Huck could be correct. We would need a scientific poll to examine the data and that is not going to happen here.

I'm certainly glad that Osama is gone as well, and I really should have posted some cheer myself. BUT, it wasn't the administration that killed him - it was a group of well-trained military personnel. I think that the problem people are having with this is that Obama popped up on TV claiming credit for something for which he had little input. He acted as though he personally did the deed, where we know that it wasn't him at all. Instead, it was done by brave people that actually care about this country.

To the idiot in the White House, it's all about politics. He's in constant re-election mode, and this event is part of his game. He's attempting to take credit for that which he DID NOT DO, and that is why people are cynical.

The credit belongs with the military, and for that effort, I am both thankful and proud.

Back when I was your age, a popular slogan was "Question Authority!"

The Federal Government lied, all the time, about EVERYTHING! They lied about taxes, drugs, the Environment, cigarettes, Viet Nam, Cuba, Russia, Kennedy, it's membership, the Law, guns... AND, the Media let them get away with it, or actively helped them. And, we DIDN'T KNOW! Thanks to the Net, the Truth, now, is Out There.

When did the Feds, and the lying, Chicago, Muslim thug, suddenly turn honest? Day before yesterday? May 1st, 2011? Shazam! Total Truth, all the time? Sorry, I didn't get the Memo.

Democrats might believe in social miracles. Evangelists, with Faith, in Miraculous Revelations. Fans of the Chicago Cubs, next year in the Series.

The rest of us, not so much.

I agree with you and Huck. I was very disappointed with the overwhelming cynicism. Why do some people want to just snuff out any small joy that might be felt? I saw a lot of what were probably mostly liberals, as they looked like college students etc., who gathered outside and cheered and shouted USA yet conservatives are sulking in the tin foil sheds.
