DALLAS (AP) Flag-waving supporters left flowers and patriotic red, white and blue balloons outside the Dallas home of former President George W. Bush Monday in the hours that followed the U.S.-led mission that killed Osama bin Laden.
Thank you President Bush, said a sign left on the gate outside the street leading to the secluded Bush residence.

This mission succeeded because of the diligence of the US military - all - and George W Bush. They all suffered unending, unrelenting excoriation, villification, evisceration for initiating and implementing - to name a few... renditions - enhanced interrogations - guantanamo itself - as well as foreign govt imperatives... American soldiers were called babykillers - murderers - rapists - breaking down doors in the middle of the night... the country had lost its way - it was said - worse than Pol Pot. Rove got something right this morning...barack did not give the CIA the order to kill BL - W did that a long time ago..
The following is W's home address in Dallas... I have sent him flowers... they weren't expensive... just a few red roses - yellow roses - lots of big red bows - big blue ribbons - little American flags... Please think about letting him know you haven't forgotten... let him know America knows who started the wheels in motion... who stepped up and took it on the chin for years and years and years... blows to his heart - blows to his soul. He never complained. The soldiers never complained. And we haven't forgotten.
He has never sought credit for his courage... never... but it was his courage... his quiet consistent courage and determination - against Evil and its minions - including here - a vicious corrupt media - powerful compromised political hacks and flacks. What W did back then - made today possible - and keeps America safe right now. We owe it to him and every American soldier to take this back from barack and his seemingly-patriotic pretenders. If you feel the same way, please think about sending W some flowers, and please post this to as many places you so see fit.

You listed yourself as the author of the CBS news report.
Is that right?
Don’t worry. Obama is going to be careful about trumpeting his part in this success. If he’s too vocal about it his base will start to get angry...they don’t like this war stuff.
He will NEVER seek credit for this, but everyone who knows what has gone on knows that it is PRESIDENT BUSH who deserves the praise for this victory in the War on Terror.
No. I am the author of the post, thought that is what that meant. Is there someway I can get back in and change that? thanks!
THANK YOU PRESIDENT BUSH!!!
The actual authorship of the article is credited to the ASSOCIATED PRESS, should that matter to anyone...
I don’t have “mixed feelings” about President Bush. He is and always will be a visionary leader whose courageous decisions after 911 continue to keep us safe today. And yes, he and his extraordinary military are responsible for bringing bin laden (and most of al qaeda) to justice.

thanks. it looks like somebody did that already because the author name has been changed to associated press staff... whew, screwed up bigtime... thanks again.
WHERE are the pictures?? I’ve yet to see one picture of the flowers at W’s gates?!! Is it on You tube?
Consider Bush as a hockey player who takes the puck in his defensive zone, charges up ice, crosses the blue line, dekes and jukes his way around three defensive players, bodily swings himself around a fourth, avoiding a stick check from a fifth, gets the goalie to commit and at the last moment deftly slides the puck to a teammate standing all alone in the crease. The guy who scores is not the hero.
LOL! and Ewww! my eyes all at the same time.
Could anyone tell me how difficult it would be to set up a “Thank You, President Bush” facebook page... I am from a military family and this just seems so wrong to me... and my heart just won’t let go of it..
ps I love your screen name or user name or whatever you call it :)
Did you see and hear his statement last night? It was all about him.
I have found that if you're polite and it's within the realm of something they can change, it will happen.
All ready done...
