Let’s look at this week:
Dumbo releases his BC after 3 years of requests.
Big Shakeup at CIA (Patreus to CIA, Panetta to DoD)
Apparently OBL was killed a week ago - only now being released.
Dumbo starts his re-election campaign in earnest.
Either it’s not really OBL or the release of info was timed with everything else that came out this week to help Dumbo.
BC controversy pushed to the back page.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED !!!

I think it was timed. When the rumor first surfaced here via Geraldo - even before Rumsfeld’s aide ever twittered about it - I went to Google News and did a search for the latest news on Osama bin Laden.
The only recent story to appear at the very top was a piece that was posted a full THREE days ago in HuffPo, by Gary S. Chafetz called, “The Urgent Need to Hunt Down Osama bin Laden.”
The whole article sets-up Obama as being more determined than ever to bring down OBL, as soon as possible. But, apparently, the President was nearly positive, while awaiting DNA confirmation on the 28th - the date of this article - that OBL was already dead.

...and in the same vein, how does one assemble at midnight the raucous revelers outside the white house all of them in their twenties showing their approval. I would say based on what I am hearing about the operation, Mr Obama must have been directly involved.
Social networking at it’s best. Not to mention a giant political ploy, that will hopefully fall flat when it becomes clear that crowing over OBL’s death could be just a bit arrogant if not premature considering what impact there is downstream.
