Gee, I guess its okay to not be in synch with the Federal Government if you want to be lax on immigration (CA) instead of tougher (like AZ).

Hmmmm....so if a CA shows illegal was arrested an not deported then when said illegal gets out an arrested in another state file suit against CA for not following said law that resulted in criminal acts costs etc an victims go after CA in civil court as well....

My opinion...only.

This makes so little sense.

CA arrests over 100,000 criminal aliens in a year. Tens of thousands are sex offenders, murders, assailants. These aren't petty crooks. Criminal aliens average seven arrests and a dozen charges.

Why would locals not want to act to get these people out of the U.S. and back to their homes? It the political climate really that residents want 10's of thousands more rapists and thieves on their streets?

The Feds remunerate just 8% of the $1.1 billion total cost to CA of incarcerating these criminal aliens. Only a subsection of all criminal aliens arrested qualify for reimbursement.

Why is this not surprising? The elected majority in CA claims the immigration is a federal issue, and when the feds pass a law they do not like, they still try to find ways to weasel around it. The only immigration laws they will enforce is the ones which encourage illegal aliens to come live among us.
