Most of them are mountain states.
I saw an article two weeks ago that said many suicide studies of suicide in U.S. & even the world were reviewed. They said a definitive "correlation" -- (they wouldn't call it a "cause") -- was living in higher regions of the country.
And, actually, the article went further than that. It wasn't even just "living" in a mountain region. Visiting a mountain region, the article said, amounted to a higher suicide rate than even the locals living there!
They wondered if higher gun ownership had anything to do with it...yet they said that the suicide rate in higher elevations was true even in other countries where gun ownership wasn't a factor.
But, they concluded that many of the urban areas in the East/Northeast have fairly low suicide rates per capita...whereas the per capita rates are high in mountain areas where perhaps people feel more isolated or insulated.

Looks like only 3279 abortions in 2009.
Of course they were most likely all Democrats so we are slowly thinning them out.
Mormons? Naaah...they wouldn’t do that.
There are places in the mountains where the wind seems to blow constantly and some folks don't seem to be able to handle it...
