What happens when the White House press secretary doesn’t know if President Obama has made a public statement about a major holiday?
That seemed to be the case on Monday, when press secretary Jay Carney said he didn’t know if Obama had signed any statements about Easter. (Obama, in fact, had not.)
“You know, the president went to church yesterday. It was well covered. I’m not sure if we put out a statement or not,” Carney said in his briefing when he was asked why nothing was put out by Obama.
But when a reporter asked why Carney himself didn’t know if a statement had been issued for a big holiday, as is customary, Carney shot back, “I’m glad you’re asking me key important questions, guys.”

Carney perfectly represents Obama’s “go to hell” attitude toward the pandering and obequious MSM.

I thought he was going to make a big thing over those environmentally friendly Easter Egg shells. Didn't they have the White House egg roll?

Carney may think it is clever to sass reporters to deflect his embarassing quizzing. But, in fact, if he is as clueless as it seems with what the Pres is or is not doing, that is of importance to the reporters. After all, they have to sit and listen to Carney’s (uninformed) drivel.
Obama could always use the excuse that he had read some of the “Easter threads” on FreeRepublic. “Easter is a pagan holiday that has no place in the Christian tradition. That is why I did not declare anything.”
He would rather tear out his own tongue than admit he reads FR.

I think his tongue would gag on sticking up for Christians as well! All joking aside, while the Founding Fathers did not create a “Christian Nation”, almost all of them had a sense of honor and duty and a recognition of Providence in the creation and continued success of America.
We now see what happens when those three attributes are lacking from our leaders. And its not just about some token Easter message. (Which it would be from the like of Obama).
Not to say that I haven’t choked up a bit at previous proclamtions by former presidents. Mainly Thanksgiving IIRC.
The question would be,
has 0bama failed to recognize ANY Muslim holiday?
Obama enjoys making Carney the stupid white boy spinning lies. Carney
is such a dolt that he can’t see what a fool he appears to be. Two
losers (Obama and Carney) that deserve each other. Too bad the tax
payers are forced to pay either of them for such shoddy work.
