He tried marriage and fatherhood, flirted with being a governor, he accepted being gay and then he finally announced he would be a priest.
But it isn't time to call ex-New Jersey governor Jim McGreevey 'father' just yet - for his bid to join the Episcopal Church has been rejected.
Church sources have said that McGreevey's sexuality has nothing to do with the rebuttal and everything to do with him being a 'jackass'.
McGreevey shocked the nation when it was discovered that only 34 days after he came into office the then-married governor embarked on a homosexual affair with an Israeli - who would later become his security adviser. When he resigned he made a poignant and landmark speech about being a 'gay American' - the first openly gay state governor in U.S. history. He joined the Episcopal Church - who have long embraced gay parishioners and clergy - in 2007, embarking on a life of good deeds and charity work with former prisoners and drug addicts.
But according to the New York Post, the church was reluctant to let him join due to his bitter divorce to his second wife Dina Matos.

Homosexuals and liberals seem to be infiltrating the Christian clergy even though they strongly disagree with the teachings of Christ and refuse to live their lives by Christian principles.
I have always wondered if it is a plot.
Ignoring the gigantic violation of the Bible in his homosexual conduct, this guy is a scum for leaving his wife and young daughter for any relationship. Adultery is sinful and morally wrong, even if you feel more “fulfilled” with the new relationship, and being willing to harm a child for your own physical gratification is not the sort of trait I look for in a minister. Regardless of his sexuality, he should not have been looking outside his marriage for any relationship - at least not if God or his child had any importance in his life. I wonder how his marriage would have worked out if he had put as much time, thought, and effort into that relationship as he did into fooling around on the side.

Well, he WAS elected as a governor by most of the voters of New Jersey.
ITEM McG set Ciple up in an apartment closeby his mayoral office---and scheduled late night assignations with Cipel.
ITEM Cipel held several high paying jobs with Democrat operatives and with the state party.

ITEM As Gov, McGreevey appointed Cipel the state’s DHS director w/ a six-figure salary, a Mercedes SUV, and a job for his cousin.
ITEM McG -----a Harvard lawyer----did not know that Cipel---who was not a US citizen---could not get security clearance.
ITEM Cipel was rarely in his DHS office---nobody could find him. Many people felt Cipel was conducting surveillance on US citizens for the Israeli govt.
ITEM After losing the DHS job, with McG's help, Cipel held a series of high paid jobs that went nowhere.

ITEM McG chose to quit the governorship b/c Cipel was threatening to blackmail him; and all kinds of dirty deals would be exposed. His calculated “gay American” comment successfully turned McG into a pitiable “victim.”
ITEM Cipel absconded to Israel and arrogantly refused to talk to FBI agents.

Episcopalians can’t play chess. They don’t know the difference between the Bishop and the Queen.
I think it has more to do with the job description...forbidden to marry (at least for catholics), no heavy lifting, expected to swank around in silk robes, steady supply of alter boys...
as a result of the 60’s-70’s social revolution, liberal activists have steadily infiltrated and taken control of major denominations, the universities and the government at all levels.
