The insider says Watson didn't shy away from class participation and often would "answer something in class and get it right," calling the 21-year-old actress "really smart." Unfortunately, this brought out the sophisticated wit and cinematic expertise of her Ivy League peers.
A lot of Ivy Leaguers seem to be silly twits who incorrectly think their Brown/Yale/Dartmouth Cs entitle them to think they're as smart as kids who get As at non-Ivy League schools. Unfortunately most of our recent presidents have been Ivy Leaguers, which probably explains a lot.

Yep, many recent presidents, both Republican and Democrat, have gone to Ivy League colleges.
Perhaps Reagan connected so well with middle America because he was a graduate of tiny Eureka College, a place that most people have never heard of.
And is it true that every single Supreme Court justice, whether liberal or conservative, is a graduate of either Harvard or Yale law schools?
We are governed by a select elite group, whether we realize it or not.

You're living in the past. Those schools don't award Cs anymore. 80% of the kids at those schools graduate with some form of honors. They get a B+ now just for showing up. You got the "silly twits" part right, though.

“Sophisticated wit and cinematic expertise?” Translation, they were being smart asses! So what??!! How is this a big deal and why should this girl be crushed by it? You laugh it off and forget it. The true smack-offs in any of her classes are no doubt, simply jealous...money, fame and looks, after all.
