The students at Brown are the children of priviledge.

Yes, if I remember correctly, Brown is one of the few schools that provides absolutely no financial aid. Harvard, of course, is very expensive -- but they do provide significant help, so the out-of-pocket expense of Harvard is large, but not quite as large as it may appear. Brown? Oh, the huge expense there is exactly what it appears to be: Huge. This is where rich people send their dumb children: it is not so challenging academically, and all it really cares about is money.

Brown has the rep for taking great pains to accept the privileged that
have yet to get their act to together, but come from the
Hollywood elite, in particular.
