So head out back and plant a big garden. Kinda hard to grow a years worth but not to difficult to grow enough to supplement the kitchen table and cut your grocery bills.
I put in fruit trees a few months ago - avocado, orange, lychee (two varieties) lemon, lime, pecan, plum, pear, coffee, various blueberries and raspberries - and two pomegranates.
The raspberries have all died - but everything else seems to be coming along...
Oh, also tried my hand at tomatoes, beans and herbs - not that I need them - just to see if I could make them grow. So far, so good.
