Republicans will make US 'Third World' nation: Obama

CHICAGO (AFP) – US President Barack Obama accused Republicans of wanting to turn the United States into a "Third World" country as he rallied support for his reelection campaign.

The attack came a day after Obama savaged Republican budget plans and unveiled his $4-trillion deficit reduction drive that aims to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans in order to preserve key social services.

The debate over fiscal policy will prove critical to the 2012 campaign and Obama sought to frame it as a "stark choice" between investing in the future or watching the country fall apart.

"Under their vision, we can't invest in roads and bridges and broadband and high-speed rail," Obama told a select group of the Democratic faithful at the second of three fundraising events in his hometown of Chicago.

"I mean, we would be a nation of potholes, and our airports would be worse than places that we thought -- that we used to call the Third World, but who are now investing in infrastructure."

The wheels are really falling off the Barry express. That post-election mojo the press was trying to convince us of is a fading memory.

His crude political hackery isn't doing him a bit of good. His own base is beginning to hate him as much as normal people, as they realize what fools he is making of them. Gallop has the fraud at an all time low.

The abandonment by the left wing base is clearly demonstrated in the comments section of the Yahoo page that's linked. Normally the comments at yahoo are, in addition to being massive, fairly balanced politically. But check out the comments her. Page after page of scathing reviews, carving up Mr. Obama's latest amature hack job; all with thumbs up outnumbering thumbs down at least 10 to 1. Nary an administration apologist can be found, where they usually are numerous.

The loony base is deeply demoralized and simply can't carry the buffoon's water anymore. Here's predicting a primary challenge from the left.

The only way the Republicans will is if they continue to cave to the idiot in chief’s spending problem. Thus continuing the theft of property of those who actually pay taxes so they can give more to those idiots who don’t.

It would be fun to see Donald Trump’s reply to Obama on that.

He should move to Kenya where he can explore the dreams of his Marxist drunk “father” instead of turning the U.S. into another Kenya.

Democrats/Liberals always accuse the Republicans of what they themselves intend to do.

As Jim Quinn (of Quinn and Rose) says, "Liberalism always achieves the exact opposite of its stated intent..."

Liberals always accuse their opposition of what they themselves are doing.

It’s called projection and to move us to a Zimbabwe-like state is and always has been Obama’s goal. Even run of the mill Liberals like cars and vacations, he is destroying everything American to avenge the Black Muslim disinfranchisement.

Republicans will make US 'Third World' nation: Obama

Obama has already made the US a 'Third World' nation, with the help of the Pelosi-Reid Congress.

The Republicans have finally found a backbone while being pushed, kicking and screaming by the TEA Party and other fiscal conservatives of all political parties.

Things are no longer hopeless.

I do not believe in either side. Democrats are looking to suck in as many votes as possible with all the give aways and the Republicans look to catapult big business into a position where the middle class ends up as a working slave to their demands and is unable to survive on the meager wages paid. All the politicians are raking in tons of money while us working guys pay their way with free dinners, free houses, free travel, free health care, and pension plans that are the envy of the world. It is time to institute a few new rules on elected officials.

If we must cut back so must they. Starting with their generous pay. For ever quarter percent that employment is over lets say 5 percent every elected government official loses 5 percent of his or her pay and pension. All services should be cut by 40 percent and no politician should be allowed to own property in the DC area unless it is their home state.(I Know DC is not a state)

All of Congress and the Senate should be housed in a dormitory buildings. Two buildings, one for Democrats and one for Republicans with a meeting room set between them. Lobbyists are banned from entering the property and if caught on the property in any manner a swift trial would take place followed by an execution. Once Congress and the Senate start a session nobody is allowed to leave the grounds and at the end of the session all must return home in 24 hours. All food, medical and exercise facilities would be on these grounds, everything would be there and food could simply be served in a common cafeteria. Everybody gets the same food every night and no special treatment for anyone. Get caught breaking any rules and you are removed from the job instantly. These people volunteered to run for office and not a single one of them was forced to work for us. We make the rules not them. A true overhaul needs to take place. Weekly time cards would need to be filled out and a person to record all activities of these elected peoples should be assigned to each one and these activities should be published in the newspapers on a daily basis. Every phone call, evey letter and even down to when he or she took a shower should be recorded. It is time for strict accountability since these so called public servants have gone way to far astray and that is oblivious since why would one spend a few million dollars to obtain a position that only pays a couple hundred thousand a year. I believe there is a n*gger in the wood pile folks and it is time to root him/her out.

This is true only because Obama and his gang of stumbles somehow, in two years, invented the fourth-world nation.

“Republicans look to catapult big business into a position where the middle class ends up as a working slave”

Sorry, you’ve got it backwards. The Democrats are the ones in bed with big business. Look at GE, GM, Goldman and any number of others...

There’s a word for government pulling the strings of big business. It is fascism. Obama is a fascist plain and simple. Too many are ignorant of what it means to recognize what is currently going on. They think it is hyperbole to make such a statement but the fact is they are just too ignorant to know what it actually is and that they are its enablers.

Liberals always accuse their opposition of what they themselves are doing.

Is this a Saul Alinsky trick, inspired by Josef Goebbels form of turnspeak propaganda?

"Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom Lucifer"

The above is the dedication of Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals. The bible in dirty tactics for today's lib/commies

Barry seems to be right - the repubs seem willing to take us there. His real problem is that third-world is still too much status for us...
