I understand what Ben is saying about some of the baby boomers, but most of us have worked all our lives, and the chunk of money the govt takes is quite large. Our parents never paid what we have been forced to pay, so I don't consider social security an entitlement. Its more like an insurance policy.
Welfare, SSI that people haven't paid into, food stamps, etc are entitlement programs.
If the Boomers are bad it can’t be denied that they were raised by the “Greatest” generation...who apparently were not so great at being parents. The Dr. Spock model was used as a guide by the Greatest Gens. The Boomers were on the receiving end of Spock, as well as getting doses of “new” math, ungraded schooling, etc. The Roosevelt groupies are the ones who set the ball rolling it seems.
Also, the Boomers did not have “less” children, but had “fewer” children. Unless we want to talk about the “Lesser Generation”?
