The ‘X-Files”?.....................
Your thoughts?
A number of years ago I was speaking with a retired FBI agent about a funny incident at the Bureau. Reportedly, Hoover was a sticker for precise communication and formatting of written correspondence. So a document on some aspect of terrorism had been created in the Bureau and all that was needed was a transmittal letter signed by Hoover. The package went in and he signed it but on the staff summary sheet he wrote, Watch those borders. Overnight the Bureau had every available agent on the Mexican and Canadian borders making sure no terrorist got in. It was several days later that he raised the issue again and said, You folks seem to be getting careless with the borders on your letters. Lets watch it!
I think Linda Moulton Howe’s take on it is probably as good as any . . . maybe there was a good summary on ATS, too.
I’ll check both.
1. Clearly the FBI knew something about the facts. Maybe not exhaustively but something of the true facts more or less in real time.
2. I personally believe the FBI vault documents are valid . . . certainly many FBI docs are merely reporting what XYZ person(s) said . . . regardless, the FBI knew there were crashes near Roswell and that critters were involved.
3. The docs concerned at this time may merely be a very cautious incremental move toward more disclosure . . . though still in a deliberately muddy way.
I may not get back to this until later.
