Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is vowing to Newsmax readers that organized labor will not steal back the dramatic come-from-behind victory of Supreme Court Justice David Prosser even if unions end up paying for a recount.
On Friday, Gov. Walker visited Newsmax and its CEO, Christopher Ruddy, at the company's West Palm Beach, Fla. headquarters. In his exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV part of a national tour to drum up national support for his dramatic fight against public unions who are seeking recall elections of Walker allies in the Wisconsin legislature the Republican governor says there is no way any legitimate recount would result in a victory for Prosser's liberal opponent.
But that doesn't remove the threat. Under Wisconsin law organized labor can get a recount if they're willing to pay for it. Walker says unions hope to replicate in Wisconsin what was pulled off with Senator [Al] Franken in Minnesota." He promises, though, that Republicans will be on guard against any post-election ballot shenanigans.
Walker is referring to Democrat Al Frankens upset win over GOP incumbent Sen. Norm Coleman in 2008, which saw a Coleman lead on Election Night morph into a Franken victory during a drawn-out recount battle.
Walkers concern over the integrity of Wisconsins spring elections came in the context of Justice Prossers battle for re-election over liberal challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg.

Old article posting, but bears hearing again regardless.
He is one of the few Republicans that has the Stones to stand up and fight vote fraud.
Democratic officials are reporting “hundreds of votes” found... A ballot box somehow ended up in the lion’s enclosure at the Milwaukee zoo. They blame Gov. Walker for the mix-up as a shipment of meat was found at the Milwaukee clerks office, “when it started to stink”...
BREAKING NEWS! - Ballots found at a local Madison TV station - There was a talent contest going on, and when the box was opened , the show’s producers realized that the names on the ballot didn’t match the folks in the talent show... County Democrat officials are looking for someone to arrest and blame for the lost Koppelberg votes...
May it be so...
Stay strong, Governor Walker.
If you want to anger the left, begin every conversation with a six letter epithet: Walker! Walker! Walker!
Ditto!
As opposed to the wimp from Minnesota now running for president.
Let me modify that to reflect what's really going on:
He is one of the new wave of Republicans that has the Stones to stand up and fight vote fraud.
I’m not hearing much about this. The Democrat that “made a mistake” entering thousands of votes -she’s just not that newsworthy, is she.
That is for sure. Pawlenty ran out in front of the camera to announce, “There is not any evidence of voter fraud.” Geesh you find a box of ballots in someone’s car that is all for the Democrat? Nothing to see here, move along.
“"But that doesn't remove the threat. Under Wisconsin law organized labor can get a recount if they're willing to pay for it. Pawlenty was truly inept with what he allowed in Minnesota.
I believe Wisconsin law requires certification of the vote by April 15. Prosser’s campaign had better demand that the law be upheld above all. Democrats’ trampling of laws has to stop.
What does that even mean, "come from behind"? It's an election -- all the ballots are cast in a single day, it all ends at the same time, and at that moment, the winner and loser are already cast; all that's left is the reveal. There can be no "come from behind" -- it's just a matter of looking at the final numbers.
Suggesting there is some "come from behind" aspect plays into the false notion that votes continue to be cast or created after the election ends. In this case, it wasn't even a counting thing. The votes were already counted and known before there was any questions raised about who was ahead or behind.
The fact that some places count their ballots quicker, or report them quicker, than others does not the contest some kind of "Race" where one side "falls behind" only to later "catch up". It's not a "see-saw battle".
This language is like counting the money in your wallet, and after you get halfway, you grouse "Damn, I don't have enough", and then you resume counting, all the while saying "OK, now I'm catching up, look at all this new money".
The Prosser campaign has already retained Ben Ginsburg, who was the lead attorney with Jim Baker in 2000.
Baker, who was Bushs Secy of Stateis universally credited with legally outmaneuvering the Gore people in the infamous FLA recount.
The USSC stopped the count——it was made clear to the Supremes that the Dems were going to count and count and count til they had the votes to win.
Palin/Walker (or Walker/Palin) 2012!
