Kaine is a loser. Look at it from a Democrat viewpoint. He gave up control of the governorship to a Republican. His guys were bounced out of the legislature left and right. Then, as DNC National Chairman he LOST EVERYTHING nationally to Mike Steele, the black guy, and the Republicans.

Kaine has lost a lot of popularity. He’ll be running with Obama in 2012, so a lot will depend on O’s favorable rating. But this is very, very, very winnable for George Allen. It’s not a given, but it’s winnable.

Best comment I heard about Kaine’s replacement at DNC is that she only has to lose less than 63 House seats to have a better record than Kaine.
