CHICAGO (AP) Top Republican lawmakers in Illinois say union restrictions like the ones approved in neighboring Wisconsin arent the way to go.
But Republican Senate leader Christine Radogno (rah-DOH-nyoh) is calling on unions to cooperate when it comes to fixing the states budget crisis. She says Illinois cant afford the level of raises that some employees have gotten.
Radogno spoke to reporters Monday after appearing at an unrelated news conference with Republican U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk and House Republican leader Tom Cross.
Cross says the state also has to deal with its underfunded pensions and that it behooves everyone to sit down and talk about it.
Cross says he doesnt favor what the Republican Wisconsin governor and legislature did, which was strip public employees of most of their collective bargaining rights.
“Illinois Republicans” as WORTHLESS as Tits on a boar.
Illinois Republicans—that is, Kentucky democrats!
“Cross says the state also has to deal with its underfunded pensions and that it behooves everyone to sit down and talk about it.”
= Unions and their dead-assed, 30 sick days/year, heavily pensioned, blue-ribboned healthcare members wins.
Again.
All in organized crime.
John Kass (just about the only reason to read the Chicago Tribune) calls Illinois Republicans of that stripe part of the “Combine” - RINO’s who go along with donkey idiocy, for the most part, so that they can avoid controversy and so they can collect their scraps from the legislative pig trough.
Unfortunately for Illinois, most elected Republicans in the state are part of the Combine.
Probably because Illinois Republicats are bought and paid for just like the Dumbocrats.

I live in Northfield, IL, and I hope that, in 2012, conservatives will oppose Radogno and Cross, in the primaries. We have’t seen the new maps, but each of his or her new district will probably include all of the incumbent’s township. Those townships probably include a conservative township official and/or mayor. If so, I hope that he or she will start campaigning, this week.
They are. I ran for school board many moons ago, and the Republicans would not support me, even though the spot I was running for was against a D.
The state is gerrymandered for the most part. Madigan (D) picks which R’s and D’s are going to be on the ticket, and deals are made for those districts that the dems want, with the leftovers (or the sure bet tiny little blocks) going to the R’s.
Madigan also has his daughter as states attorney, so you know there will be no light shed on the mold that festers in this state.
Most republicans in Illinois are worst than the dems, because they lie more, they are sleazier, they play both ends of the table. At least with a D, you know he’s gonna stab you and bleed you, with the R’s, it always happens when you least expect it.
Idiots. There’s a reason they call tom cross “double cross”.
