Spine and guts tops the list of requirements for the next candidate for President of the US.

Obama already has that and with it has crammed down our throats the worst radical programs the left could imagine.

Spine and guts pushing a progressive Republican agenda is not what we need. We need someone to relentlessly push the conservative, pro-freedom agenda.

Christie supports semi-auto bans. As such, he is anti-gun, and will not be palatable to the TEA Party/conservative base.

Thus, Christie is as untenable as Romney as a 2012 Presidential candidate.

The TEA Partiers will determine who the GOP Presidential nominee is for 2012, and it will not be either of the two RINOs mentioned above...

At this point I don’t have a primary choice, I am sure one will emerge. In the general I’ll vote for the Republican. I know some people have reservations about Christi but what I have heard him say sounded great.

Christie: 1) gun-banner, 2) pro-Ground-Zero-Mosque, 3) social liberal, 4) illiterate when it comes to oil and energy. No thanks. New Joisey can keep him.

Not to mention the fact that he's 200 pounds over weight and looks like he is one slice of pizza away from a massive heart attack.

Haley Barbour is fat, Christie is obese.

Stay in jersey and stop shoveling so much into your face.

At this point, I’d just settle for someone who likes their country.

I, along with millions of other Conservatives, want an honest patriotic Conservative with spine and guts to run for President. That goes for every other political office open in 2012. It has become pathetically obvious that pretend Conservatives lied to The Tea Party and fooled us in 2010. We must be more diligent to not support hypocritical liars in 2012. As I’ve posted repeatedly, RINO’s need not apply.

I doubt Christie can rally the social conservatives, as on social issues he is a liberal.

Christie is fine on a few thngs, and does have a spine, I’ll grant you that. But he is what passes for a conservative on the east coast. And that’s not saying much.

Gov. Christie is a gun-grabber and pro-Mosque.

I’m not crazy about this feller.

Seems like a stereotypical northern not social conservative fiscal guy.

We used to have a lot of them here before they imploded and ran off in a huff over Rudy.

Not a very sweet bunch to tell you the truth.

but...of course I would support him over any Dem.

So, can you explain to me how you can trust the words of a politician that they’re “pro-life” when their “conversion” suspiciously coincides with their decision to run for office, and yet they still support pro-baby-killing left-wing politicians like Mike Castle?

Sure doesn’t seem to me like his “convictions” mean much to him.

How many pro-life bills have you signed into law?

True but he seems to be learning. He has pulled NJ from one enviro-whacko lawsuit and now says he wants to pull out of the regional cap-n-tax scheme.

Now if he could just drop his idea of “investing” a couple billion of NJ tax dollars in the money pit from hell known as Xanadu...
