EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: RomneyCare author Jonathan Gruber [Mitt is misrepresenting his own plan]

It is “sad,” says MIT professor Jonathan Gruber, that presidential candidate Mitt Romney is running away from his Massachusetts health care plan, a plan that Gruber says “gave birth to one of the greatest pieces of social legislation in our history,” namely [Alleged] President Obama’s 2010 health-care reform legislation. Aside from Romney, Gruber is the man most responsible for the Massachusetts plan. And given how important the debate is over the ‘Cares — RomneyCare and ObamaCare, as they’re often dubbed — I decided to go to the man who perhaps knows more than anyone about the development of both.

In a candid phone interview, Gruber explained how RomneyCare came about, where he thinks the critics have it wrong and whether potential “defenses” against his own plan by the Republican 2012 frontrunner hold up to scrutiny.

Holy Crap!!! That is so bad. I wonder if anyone is going to ask the elitists like Tokyo Rove what they are going to do to spin their guy Myth out of this. Romney really did himself in on this mess and having the father of this POS directly call it the precursor of Obamacare is terrible. How long is it going to be till the Rats start parading this Commie Pinko Dr. around during the general election if Myth wins. This guy will cut the legs out from any argument Myth has been giving to prop himself up.

The closing paragraph sums it up nicely:

In short, Gruber is the most powerful voice (and the most dangerous one for the Romney campaign) for three fundamental points: 1) Romney championed the individual mandate, overriding concerns about personal freedom; 2) the plan today is pretty much the same as what Romney signed into law; and 3) without it in all likelihood we wouldn’t have ObamaCare today. That might sound like a reason for Democrats to vote for him, but in a Republican presidential primary all of that may be the death knell of the Romney candidacy.

RombamaCare = individual mandate, no matter what you call it.

This is devastating. The good DR. is the smoking gun that should end Romney as a viable candidate. Not only has he been LYING about being forced into the “bad portions” of Romneycare, it shows he was a full participant in the individual mandates. Let’s hope the GOP primary field picks up on this and torpedoes him fast.

Doesn’t he just look like someone who believes he can run your life better than you can? Jerk.

Rush and Hannity need to start hitting the RINOs now before the pull a Maverick on us. I think the mitt and the huck are hanging back until the last second. They are going to try to pop in at the last minute to avoid attacks by the Conservatives. The media will help pave the way for either of these RINOs.
