What about the Iranian protests?
Choosing to fight the weakest member of gang isn’t exactly a show of fortitude.
>Failure to do so would have allowed Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi to unleash his military on his own people and signaled the world that such violence would go unchallenged, Obama said.<
But allowing Saddam to do it was okay ... right Senator Obama?
He is backing the Muslim Brotherhood to take over and work with Al-Qaeda - they already scored rockets on the battlefield while our own planes gave them support.
This man is using our own military to give aid and comfort to the enemy.
REAAAAAALLLLY, Obama? And WHO are we? NOT f###### communists.....like you WANT us to be.
I swear. If I said what was on my mind now.......the SS would put me UNDER the jail. But....we don’t live in a free society where we can state out opinions. The ‘first’ is non-existent.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>Obama: Not acting in Libya ‘would have been a betrayal of who we are’>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Betrayal of Al-Qaeda?
Obama is betraying who we are in:
Darfur.
North Korea.
Syria.
Ivory Coast.
Win The Future?
Yemen.
Tibet.
Mexico.
What was down when 0bama was running for President in 2008 (the Iraq War) is now up with 0bama’s war in Libya.
The guy RAN for election as THE Opposition to any WAR Candidate, and to now say stuff like this as justification for his decision to go to war in Libya is really beyond my ability to reconcile with any logic at all.
Lets ask the President just one question, who would be a more murderous despotic evil dictator to his people Muammar Gadafi or Saddam Hussein?
Its not even close but the Iraq war was dead wrong and the Libyan war is a war we could not pass on or else it would have been a betrayal of who we are?
Is he freaking on drugs, or is simple logic such as the above just too hard for him?
Gaddafi is worse than Hussein, yeah that makes allot of sense.
No.
Electing Obama to be President was a betrayal of who we are.
There, fixed it.
He doesn't even know who he is--just who he thinks he is.
vaudine
Another Speech Obama gave in 2002:
Thats what Im opposed to. A dumb war. A rash war. A war based not on reason but on passion, not on principle but on politics.
Now let me be clear I suffer no illusions about Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal man. A ruthless man. A man who butchers his own people to secure his own power. He has repeatedly defied UN resolutions, thwarted UN inspection teams, developed chemical and biological weapons, and coveted nuclear capacity.
Hes a bad guy. The world, and the Iraqi people, would be better off without him.
But I also know that Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States, or to his neighbors, that the Iraqi economy is in shambles, that the Iraqi military a fraction of its former strength, and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history.
I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaeda.
I am not opposed to all wars. Im opposed to dumb wars.

Where is the kid puking.
Who is Obama was my first thought.
LOL! I’d love to see that!
OK, I don’t get it. WHY Japan???
Its a humanitarian mission just like Libya.
