Ed Harris has reportedly signed on to play Arizona Senator John McCain in an upcoming HBO original film called "Game Change." The film will focus on McCain's 2008 presidential campaign with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.
Harris joins Julianne Moore in the film, who has previously confirmed the role of Sarah Palin. The film will directed by Jay Roach, who is perhaps best known for directing HBO's movie about the 2000 presidential election "Recount."
While speaking with Fox News' Sean Hannity, Palin opened up about the film. Hannity suggested that perhaps Demi Moore or Courtney Cox would have been a better choice than Julianne Moore.
"Well, I'm absolutely flattered that you would say that. But, no, I don't know. I think I'll just grit my teeth and bear whatever comes what may with that movie," Palin responded.
"Game Change" will be based on John Heilemann and Mark Halperin's book of the same name and "Recount" writer Danny Strong will provide the script.
This is the latest post I’ve seen regarding the casting of Harris. I have no problem with his acting. However, I will never forget his sitting on his hands when the academy recognized Elia Kazan. Roll the tape, I dare you. One of the greatest Hollywood film makers, and a staunch anti-communist, was dissed by this historically illiterate jackass. I will never forget that moment.
