(Reuters) - Support for California Governor Jerry Brown's plan to shut a $27 billion budget gap has eroded since he introduced it in January, a new poll by the Public Policy Institute of California showed on Wednesday.

However, there is no long term strategy. No spending caps, no extraction of concessions from the government employee unions, etc.
Arnold was as bad as his predecessor in depending on pure gimmicks.
Brown is just looking for short term fixes hoping that the economy will turn around and we can go back to business as usual, i.e. tax-tax-spend-spend.
....so, most people in California refuse to pay their fair share?
isn’t that racist?
Yeah, things like rising gas prices and rising food prices will tend to make someone's enthusiasm dip for a lot of things that will cost them more money. I had posted on a prior thread that Brown's timing would be dreadful. About the time the ballot initiative was to be voted on, gas would be about five dollars a gallon. Let's see now, would the voters rather have money for gas, or would they rather have the state take more money from them? Gee, that's a tough one to try to figure.
Sorry... just couldn’t get past you applauding Brown... barf.
The heck with california and the governor that THEY re-elected... moon beam will drive the state into the ground.
