TEPCO: Rolling power cuts to last at least a year
2011/03/23
Tokyo Electric Power Co. will likely continue its rolling blackouts in the Kanto region for at least a year due to damage at two large thermal power plants, a senior company official said.
The prolonged power outages through this summer and winter will deal a blow not only to residents of Tokyo and surrounding prefectures but also add to business woes.

Agriculture of the quake region is badly hit by radiation from Fukushima No.1 Nuclear Plant. Now the industrial production in the region is shot for at least a year.
This would definitely have impact on Japanese economy as a whole.
