You are correct: The article is days old and it does not say the Marines are going ashore. It does say that the AV-8B Harriers are flying in support of the mission in Libya. These aircraft are probably departing USS Kearsarge.

All MEU's have the capability to put Marines ashore - otherwise why have them? But so far, at least, no "boots on the ground." Most people on this thread should try reading the article. It is, after all, in English. The near-hysteria on this thread makes us look like 12-year-old girls.
