If you say so, champ.
Aides in attendance said the administration didnt shed much new light on the situation.
You learn more by having read the paper, one said
When asked, White House officials told congressional aides that the United States is not at war with Libya, sources told POLITICO.
In addition, administration officials emphasized that the president plans to hand over control to the coalition and that the actions taken by the president are in compliance with the War Powers Act.
This is aimed, I assume, at blunting Lugars demand for a declaration of war, but you dont even need to go that far to find Obamas actions wanting. A choice bit from the War Powers Resolution with which he claims to be in compliance:
The constitutional powers of the President as Commander-in-Chief to introduce United States Armed Forces into hostilities, or into situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances, are exercised only pursuant to (1) a declaration of war, (2) specific statutory authorization, or (3) a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces.

The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
I thought we were at war with Eastasia this week.
Don’t worry folks, the buffoon-in-charge cut his South America trip short by a big two hours to come home and run this war.
We are safe—no problem.
Can he?
War is Peace. Get with the flipping program everybody.
Well, at least he followed the contitution..../s
“the United States is not at war with Libya”
How does anyone think they can get away with saying that? It’s like during the Cuban Missle Crisis when the Kennedy administration called their blockade a “quarantine” since a blockade is an act of war and to the dunderheads of the world “act of war” would have automatically meant nuclear annihilation. But it was an act of war and wasn’t followed by nuclear war, so shut up, Kennedy’s PR staff.
Likewise, shut up, whoever says the U.S. is not at war with Libya. The missles say otherwise.
Obama continues to push the envelope as to how far he can push everyone. He is a child. He is a perfect example of one because children always see how far they can go without being punished.
The question remains, where are the parents of this child (Obama) and will they do anything to punish him?
Lol. Your mouth says no, no, but your missiles say yes, yes!
The closest thing he has to a parent is Michelle, and as long as she gets her lobster and wagyu beef, she let's him do what he wants.
I'll go into my grammer class now...
I think, you know, that Hillary might be, you know, lying.
This is just embarrassing. But I guess when leftists make war they have to pretend they are not.
"Come back Achmed. Our brother Obama says he's not at war!"
I’m pretty sure Qudaffy see’s the military action as an act of war.
If Canada enforced a NFZ over the US, then proceeding to bomb the cr@p out of Buffalo, Schumer would call Canada’s actions an act of War
Sure would be nice if some of the Republican leadership would call this for what it is: a bunch of CRAP.
112 Tomahawk missiles fired onto a nation that poses no immediate or imminent threat to America...and Hussein is so disdainful of the American people that he thinks we will believe him when he says:
"Let me be clear: we are not at war."
And he and MO will host some party and plan there next vacation and see how many people AREN’T buying MO’s new book on her stupid garden.
