Ryan Takes the Battle to Obama
Catholic Lane ^ | 3/21/11 | G. Tracy Mehan, III

Posted on 03/21/2011 7:44:06 AM PDT by Mary Kochan

“The Congressional Budget Office’s report exposes the widening gulf between the President’s rhetoric and his budget’s reality,” said Ryan. “Simply put, the President’s budget spends too much, taxes too much, and borrows too much-and it continues to heap an unsustainable burden of debt on American families, today and in the future.”

Go-o-o Ryan! Hopefully if he says it and says it and says it, a critical mass of people in this country will wake up.

How about a critical mass in Congress? So far all the GOP has done is blow a bunch of wind, unwilling to back their big words w/ big actions.

If we don’t dump the RINOs next time, it might not matter if we gain the senate or the WH. What a pathetetic bunch of pussants.

$6Bn in cuts per CR is hardly "taking the battle to Obama."

Ryan’s all hat and no cattle.

I’m still waiting for him to knock off the sound bytes and make it HAPPEN. He talks big talk but backs away from it when it’s time to vote.

Ryan only has so much power.

THIS is the guy who needs to make sh*t happen and is doing very little.

I don’t disagree that Boner is the biggest part of the problem... but Ryan is NOT exercising what power he has effectively, either.

Put another way, deep down he’s more Boner than he is Teaparty.

Well, the Budget Director pretty much serves at the pleasure of the Speaker and Majority Leader...yes, the caucus votes for these people, but they rarely will deviate from the leadership’s preferences as we saw during the initial days of this session.

Why do we see the leadership, and top budget hawks on board with the CRs, when guys like Pence (who no longer holds a position in the leadership) and others are voting against them. We will not likely see Paul Ryan go against the leaderships positions. If we get to that point, we know he is so frustrated working behind the scenes that public pressure is the only way to go. On the other hand, he may be more insider than principled budget hawk. Only time will tell.

And you won't be satisfied until Boehner commits hari-kari on the steps of the Capitol.

The pubbies have controlled one part of the legislative Branch of Congress for 61 days and you want a trotsky-like revolution.

You want the pubbies to kill all the demonRATs and then commit public suicide.

Just have the good sense to wait at least one quarter before you scream that you've been betrayed.

No, but I want substantial PROGRESS, and damned if a republican boot licker like you is going to make me ashamed of DEMANDING it.

In the sixty one days they have had, fiscal issues have been taken up and debated and voted upon. They already have established a track record and a tone, and it’s a track record and tone of disappointing failure, not of stellar accomplishment. And furthermore, they have NOT!!! done what THEY THEMSELVES SAID they would, nor have they accomplished what THEY promised. Not even a down payment so far.

what a ridiculous statement. You must have RINO blinders on if you honestly believe the GOP leadership will do ANYTHING substantial to reign in spending. Yes, the writing is clearly on the wall. The wimpy, sissy GOP leadership is already cowering in the corner trying to figure a way out to "fool" the Tea Party supporters into believing that substantial cuts will be made.

To repeat, the writing is on the wall: Boehner the crybaby, Ryan, the smooth talking fake conservative technocrat, Cantor and others are too weak to make the bold push towards Liberty.

These weak men do not have the Warrior mindset to take on the left. They are proven failures.

Simple proof of that is this: Get someone at FOX to as Ryan this simple question: Do you support ending taxpayer funding of NPR, PBD and the outright elimination of the NEA?

The answer is obvious. It wont be NO, but some rambling B.S. These men a too weak to fight for liberty. They are useless technocrats who have no more love of our Constitution than the Marxist! I am sick of our so called GOP leaders

The Young Guns (Ryan, Cantor and McCarthy) are just the new Contry Club Republicans. They are the Stepford Wives of the GOP Leadership. Boehner wannabes. They are all trying to keep the true Tea Party republicans like Bachmann and Rand Paul out of the picture.

Right after they voted for a continuing resolution continuing Obama’s last budget they voted against specific parts of it. Then they have the gall to turn to us smile and shift our attention to Obama and the Senate.

People need to come to realize that Ryan is Obama’s enabler.

Stop trying to shift blame.

Ryan is responsible for what Ryan does. Ryan is responsible for what Ryan says. Ryan is responsible for how Ryan votes.

I want them to be responsible for what they vote for. It is not Obama’s fault they voted for the resolution to continue Obama’s budget. It is not the Senate’s fault either. They are responsible for what they do and I’m tired of people making excuses for them.

Yes, Ryan is responsible for what he says and how he votes.

But do you not agree Boehner, as Speaker, has been ineffective vs. Obama?

Thank you.

This article was about Ryan so that is where I think the focus should stay.

I think we as voters fail when we allow ourselves to get distracted.

What I am responsible for is how my representative votes and who he votes for his leadership. He has already received my opinion on his choice of leadership, including Ryan.

Well, first, I'm now a registered demonRAT, I changed so I could vote against snarlen arlen in the demonRAT primary.

No one can force a man to be ashamed, since that is a feeling you have about yourself. If you feel ashamed, maybe you have just cause.

We are basically on the same side, but you are getting your bowels in an uproar because I criticize your position on lack of patience.

If calling me a boot licker makes you feel manly and not so ashamed of being you, have at it.

In the words of bill maher, " You ..............." {fill in the blank that makes you feel less ashamed of yourself}".

Maybe if you weren't so ashamed of yourself, you'd get rid of that nervous tick, it's unbecoming.

You want facts and logic, we can do that, you want barbs and snares, OK, but either way, you are over matched.

No, we’re not. I’m a conservative.

Nervous,

Good news, there are two ways to help your condition.

And I didn't realize you were in such pain and shame and I apologize for being so hard on you.

After you are cured try licking boots, it might fit your nasty, nervous disposition, caused by trigeminal neuralgia.

The first one is pharmacological, whose main goal is to reduce the pain associated with the condition. For this purpose the drug of choice is Carbamzepine. This is a drug used to treat epilepsy, but is extremely effective in trigeminal neuralgia . Depending on the severity of the symptoms skeletal muscle relaxants are also given.

The second approach to treat trigeminal neuralgia is surgical. This approach has been receiving good reports in recent years. The gamma knife radiation has been quite successful in treating the condition
