I wonder if that will get passed regulatory hurdles here.

Interesting. We’re T-Mobile right now and our contracts are coming up soon. Our prices are a little lower than AT&T with texting, basic, and family allowances PLUS the T-Mobile home phone. Two years ago when I upgraded, we earned 495.00 in rebates and such not even counting the *free* phones.

Looks like I will wait for details and figure out what to do then as our poor ole phones are on their last legs, teenagers are ROUGH on phones and 2 years is a LONG time.

I wonder how many employees left AT&T and went to T-mobile because they couldn’t stand AT&T any longer. I knew quite a few who did.

Just like Silvio keeps reciting, “Just when you think you’ve gotten away...they suck you back in.”

As long as the obligatory "grease" is applied, sure. Nothing that a few corporate $$ to ACORN, SEIU, and the Re-elect Baraq campaign won't fix.

T-Mobile’s service, when acquired by AT&T will go down, quality will go down and price increases will be rampant.

That is how AT&T does business after acquiring a competitor.

Wish AT&T would have spent that money actually installing some coverage, instead of buying a competitor who has even less coverage than AT&T has now.

Same here. I have repeatedly left AT&T at every opportunity and the bastards keep buying my provider back. Crony capitalism.

We were with T-Mobile and switched to At&T a few years ago - not under contract now and I’m looking to get a better deal than we currently have. Interesting acquisition

I have an old Motorola Phone (2004-05) with T-Mobile and have 400 hours for $29.95. Never had a problem with T-Mobile and they have the simplest/user friendly billing when you are on a Family Plan.

Might have to move to Tracfone but really don’t want to.

The best carrier?

I suppose that depends on what you need.

Smartphones and great coverage? Verizon

Customer service essentially is awful regardless of who you pick.

As I’m aware that corporations often act in ways that are contrary to my politics I try and keep this in mind when I spend my money and do business with companies that are not working against me by using profits to destroy America:

http://www.wnd.com/index.php/index.php?fa=PAGE.printable&pageId=271013

Of cell phone companies, AT&T is rated 100%, or most gay friendly. Sprint/Nextel (and its affiliates Boost and Virgin Mobile) are also rated 100%. Verizon (and Alltel) are better, though still too high at 70%. T-mobile is better at 50%.

Midwestern based US Cellular is the best at only 15%.
