Bexar Democrats' leader likens foes to insects

Calling his detractors worms, jerks, morons, idiots and liars, Bexar County Democratic Chairman Dan Ramos said Thursday that he'd resign “when hell freezes over” despite demands he quit immediately due to his harsh words about fellow Democrats.
Denying allegations that he has disparaged gay party members and others, Ramos cast himself as an old friend of minorities. But he also compared gay Democrats to insects, called several local elected Democrats “yo-yos,” and found a common denominator among the Texas Stonewall Democratic Caucus, the tea party and the Nazi party.
The Stonewall Democrats are the Texas Democratic Party's official lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender caucus.
“They all have these weird ideas about how our society can function better,” Ramos said.
Singling out the Stonewall Democrats, Ramos said “they have infiltrated the Bexar County party, much like termites infiltrate your house. They're trying to destroy what has been around for a long time,” he said.
Amid the controversy, a party subgroup known as Proud Democrats of San Antonio held a gala Thursday night to honor Democratic judges defeated in November, and to raise funds to repay the party's $192,000 debt.
Owed to the county for 2008 primary election costs, the debt is a legacy of an embezzlement scandal that Ramos blames, in part, on unidentified party activists.

He has a point, many democrats appear to be insects.
Whatever happened to the Bexar County Democratic Party when their Treasurer embezzled $200,000 to fund the Primary?
Did the Treasurer get prison time?
Didn’t their checks to Bexar County bounce? Wasn’t Ramos touted as the guy who would help boost morale, and help Dem’s to raise money to recoup the stolen funds?
People would have to be insane to join that group.
Yes. And they would be the grasshopper, not the ants.
What’s wrong with calling democrats insects?
Rats, snakes, thieves, liars, calithumpians - it all fits.
