SAN ANTONIO -- A spokeswoman for the Bexar County Democratic Party said its chairman, Dan Ramos, will be holding a news conference on Thursday morning after his published statements in the San Antonio Current and increasing demands for resignation.

Texas Democratic Party Chairman Boyd Richie, members of the Bexar County Democratic Party Executive Committee and the Texas Stonewall Democratic Caucus have called for Ramos to step down.

In their statement, the executive committee said, "His hateful, bigoted comments have no place in the Democratic Party."

Dan Graney, the Stonewall Caucus president, said, "I was horrified and saddened he would come out with such overt, hostile statements" against a wide swath of people, including the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender community.

The article in this week's San Antonio Current, Ramos is quoted saying Graney's organization is "90 percent white, blue-eyed and Anglo."

Graney said that last year, when Ramos was running to become the party chairman, he spoke to the Stonewall Democrats and answered yes to their issues in a questionnaire and wrote he supported "equality for all."

"This also says something about hypocrisy, when you say one thing and act another way," Graney said.

He said the membership chose not to support Ramos in his bid because of what Graney called "homophobic statements" in the past.

"His hateful, bigoted comments have no place in the Democratic Party."

OHHHHHHHH yes, they do. It's been a LONG, storied and horrible past - and they thrive on it. It's all they have. Heck, a few current RAT perps even make a so-called LIVING off of it.

The over/under on this RAT idiot's resignation now sits @ 1½ weeks.

From the Bexar County RAT website -

We are home-makers, business people, factory workers, public servants, educators, soldiers, preachers, you name it - we've got it. We come from all skin colors, religions, cultures, genders, sexual orientations and gender identities. We don't exclude. That is who we are!

It's so funny watching the (presumably) straight, whitey, (presumably) Christian, (presumably) males of the Democrat party be treated with such bigotry and disrespect by their fellow Democrats.

The sad part is, they fell like they are deserving of this treatment.
