Over exposure can turn around and bit you on the arse. Candidates have to find a way to get their name out there, but not so much that people get tired of you, or irritated by you. I was concerned early on that Palin might not get this mix right, if she pursued her own show, took a consulting spot on FoxNews, and stayed in the spotlight in additional ways. This may be evidence of that concern being realized.

At the same time, it’s easy to see where Yahoo/the Washington Post could be gaming these polls too.

Frankly, I don’t know how Obama’s approval numbers remain above 20%. Probably using the same techniques, only in reverse, that Yahoo/the Washington Post used here.

The populace at large will not be voting for Palin early next year. Republicans will be, if she declares. Registered voters will determine that, not a broad spectrum of the public.

These early poll are intended to move public opinion, IMO.

I don’t give them much attention.

Palin’s strategy aimed to keep the MSM from burying her in the back pages. You are not taking into account the full-court press that backed her in a corner in Alaska. Once the Democrats joined the corrupt Murkowski machine, she was between a rock and a hard place. The Democrats are the reason why Murkowski is still sitting in the senate.
