Oh, I agree totally; not how a real pawn shop works. But as you say it’s very entertaining.
But now that they have this huge hit tv series they don’t really have to worry about making a profit on the items anymore, so it’s all in good fun.
Ground report — I was there last week. Amazingly small and dumpy place. Still trying to figure out the camera angles that make it look like there’s a “L” shape to it. None of the main characters were there. It’s also in a section filled with pawn shops. Rick’s an effin’ genius to have turned this dump into a TV show. I like the show!
Yeah, I love to watch the show, I learn something every time. It’s turned a lot of young people on to the business too - we’re getting new customers in because of this show & others like it & American Pickers.
