WASHINGTON (AP) -- The White House says President Barack Obama will keep his plans to travel to Brazil, Chile and El Salvador despite mounting crises demanding his attention.
Obama is scheduled to visit the three Latin American nations starting Saturday and through March 23.

When a Republican is president, the liberal and MSM view is that the president takes too many vacations, and that he should be in Washington managing things.
Some extreme radicals even think Bush being on vacation in August 2001 helped lead to Sept. 11th, because Bush and his guys were out of the White House, and thus failed to prevent the attack.
But when a good Democrat is president, we are told that the president travels with an entourage, and modern communications keep him in touch 24/7, wherever in the world he might be.
And some more liberal types are happy to see the president on vacation, saying he needs his down time.
I hope this doesnt get in the way of his golf game and the ESPN choices
