Washington- P.J. Crowley is abruptly stepping down as State Department spokesman under pressure from the White House, according to senior officials familiar with the matter, because of controversial comments he made about the Bradley Manning case. Crowley will step down as early as Sunday afternoon, the officials said, because White House officials are furious about his suggestion that the Obama administration is mistreating Manning, the Army private who is being held in solitary confinement in Quantico, Virginia, under suspicion that he leaked highly classified State Department cables to the website Wikileaks. Speaking to a small group at MIT

I thought Hillary was on Crowley’s side on this Manning mistreatment thing & they were both coming down on folks at the Pentagon over it?

[Crowley's] suggestion that the Obama administration is mistreating Manning

No matter how liberal any Democrat admin. is, we can always count on the St. Dept. to be to the left of them. Foggy Bottom is filled with America-despising traitors from top to bottom. No doubt they view the fag traitor Manning as a hero.

I am surprised the administration knows who Manning is?

"Manning's treatment has become a flashpoint for liberals, with Amnesty International noting he has been confined to a windowless cell for 23 hours a day, is stripped down to his boxers at night and is not given pillows or blankets. Manning's lawyer also says the young private recently had to sleep in the nude because defense officials thought there was a suicide threat and decided to take away his boxer shorts."

Well, the little sh!t-for-brains traitorous faggot shoulda thought about the consequences of stealing thousands of classified documents.

Can a President be impeached for stupidity?

Better question...

Can the electorate that brought him into office be impeached for stupidity?

Judge Napolitano is furious about Manning’s treatment. Says you cannot treat someone who has not been convicted yet as though he has been.

Used the close of his show on Fox Business the other night to absolutely slam what is happening. I really hadnt thought about it his points until I heard his rant.

From what I’ve gathered, Manning is a serious suicide possibility. Obviously, he hasn’t talked yet or they’d be giving him all the bedsheets, socks, and belts he wants. (shrug)
Maybe the little faggot is refusing to talk. Exactly what secret/classified documents did Manning steal? Who did he give them to? Was his boyfriend involved?

He should of been out a long time ago, after complaining to the Chinese on his China trip about Arizona violating civil rights.

Yeah, and don’t feel too sorry for P.J. He’s a retired Air Force Colonel (public affairs) and his wife is a retired Colonel boot. In fact, Mrs. Crowley’s last assignment was in the legislative liaison branch for the Guard Bureau, so she helped him make the right connections prior to retirement. Plus, having cast his lot with the left, there are plenty of D.C. think tanks and lobbying organizations who will offer him a job.

On a personal note, I had to interview Crowley more than a decade ago for a paper I was writing as a Command and Staff college student. When it became clear that my thoughts on the military and the media didn’t match his, the conversation became testy and almost devolved into a shouting match. I finally cut it short, and used almost nothing from Crowley in my paper.

Colonel Crowley is hardly the sharpest tool in the public affairs shed, and it’s easy to see why he never made it to Chief of Public Affairs for the Air Force.

In fact, his best career move was signing on with the left-wing establishment; collectively, that group is so devoid of genuine military experience that the Center for American Progress made him chairman of their defense and homeland security program. What a joke—Crowley spent his entire Air Force career as a public affairs flack and anything he knows about security, strategy and homeland security is purely accidental.

But he’ll resurface in a few weeks (or few months) at one of the landing pads for out-of-work liberal government officials.
